Patty Cakes asked me this question over a month ago. Since then; I’ve been doing a lot of research on the topic. Apparently and unknown to me, this is a debate that has been going on forever.  There is much to be said about Cupcakes vs. Muffins. Below are just a few of the things I found out… MORE

Each year we count down the days until we can attend the State Fair under the guise of viewing and lauding all the cook's, canner's and baker's accomplishments. It's really just a pathetic excuse to stop by all those greasy little stands and eat absolutely anything and everything that's NOT… MORE

What a wonderful time of year it is! It's not quite Fall and it's not totally Summer anymore. The mornings are cool with just a tad bit of moisture in the air. And, the smell, mmmmmmm! Can you smell it? The season is changing. In the morning there is this very distinct smell when the seasons… MORE

O.k. I'm addicted to cupcakes! There. I've said it. It all started out so innocently. But now, all I want to do is bake cupcakes and eat cupcakes. And, to top it off, I must watch every single episode of "Cupcake Wars" for an extra fix! Here's how it all got started: A Facebook… MORE

During hot weather it seems like salads are an easier, cooler option for dinner. And lately I've been making Pasta Salads. My latest creation was inspired by my love of Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoe sandwiches. (We also eat lots of sandwiches during the summer months. I love a good and… MORE

About Me
I am a wife and mother of 5 grown children. Being semi-retired has allowed me time to do things I've put off doing; like really learning to cook and bake. I also love to garden, read, scrapbook and just recently I've gotten into geneology. I am loving this phase of my life with my husband and family.
My favorite things to cook
Fresh garden vegetables and fruits. The anticipation of what my garden will produce is always a joy. I also love to bake. And, Mostly I love to bake cupcakes and sweet treats.
