Caribbean Curried Peas (Lentils)

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2013
This is one of the best lentil recipes I've done so far and I have done a ton, I’m a lentil maniac. It’s a bit spicy though but so very tasty. Only change was the stock, used beef cause had nothing else and I’m not a vegetarian. Had to add a little more water near the end to finish cooking lentils to my liking. Great with plain basmati rice. Thanks, a keeper !!

Singaporean Tender Pork Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
I prefer bbq ribs but these were very very good... my husband on the other hand said : These are the best ribs I have ever tasted, my mom would love these too !! Which, for a very picky eater is saying quite a lot. Will do again, of course !

Slow Cooker Cocktail Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
I was very skeptical about this recipe so I tested it first. Funny how the taste changes as it cooks. After an hour the smoky flavor from the bbq sauce was so overwhelming I thought this was a big mistake but after 2 hours the smokiness was slight and balanced and delicious. I couldn’t believe it. I reheated them the next day in the microwave oven and they were still perfect. Strange but this works !

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Wow !! Big hit !! My mother-in-law asked for the recipe... !!! My father-in-law said it was better than the one at his favorite restaurant. As per reviews I cut sugar in half and replaced poppy seeds by celery seeds. A keeper.

Layered Seafood Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
It disappeared so fast I couldn't believe it. Did not put crab in but made rest the same with bite size nachos. Everybody asked for recipe, even an 8 year old. Got it from someone that made it for a fund raising at work and people where bidding on the whole plate instead of buying one bite for a dollar. Thanks, will become a family classic I'm sure.

Fudge Puddles

WOW !! Can't stop eating them ! The filling is addictive. Didn't have mini muffin tins so did cookies out of 1 inch balls and cooked them for 7 minutes. Perfect. Just a little filling left... but not for long !! Thanks

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
Nice and tender and great taste. Did not have Marsala so used white wine instead and added sautéed mushrooms. Will do again, maybe with chicken breasts for a change.

Zucchini and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
Excellent !!! Added an onion and sautéed everything but the bread crumbs before finishing it off in the oven. Everybody loved it, had to remind them that it was a side dish not a main dish !!! Will do again for sure.

Artichoke Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Dressing is great, nice and mild. Put in a clove of garlic instead of onion. I wouldn't use olive oil (tried it but threw it out) it's flavor is too strong for this dressing. A keeper. Thank you.

Vegan Split Pea Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
The barley's texture just doesn't fit with the creamy texture of cooked peas, not very pleasant to eat. The soup was also a little bland (added an extra 2 cups of water as per other reviews), maybe with no barley, chicken stock and with double the seasoning(except for salt), it would be better but as is it's not very good.
