To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
This is a great classic alfredo recipe. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a little color. If you don't want it to separate, HEAT THE BOWLS UP A BIT before plating.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
This recipe is perfect. A sprinkle of chopped parsley is nice on top. MOST IMPORTANT: If you don't want it to separate or solidify, heat the bowls slightly in the oven before plating.

Neo-Traditional Shrimp and Grits Meal

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
The recipe was very good. Like the other cook, I'd leave the bread out - grits are already a starch, why add more? And instead of putting the bacon on the side, I crumbled it up and put it in the sauce. I don't use garlic powder - only fresh garlic. I put in 3 minced cloves. I'll make this again and again.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
I have been working on my own dough recipe and homemade pizza and have had only moderate success (just can't get the right dough). But I tried this recipe and made it exactly as is (taking into account the comments about too much ranch dressing - I used a thin layer). My husband said it was the best pizza/crust I ever made. I had to tell him (with a scowl): "Yeah, it's store-bought." But this was a huge hit with us. I've made it three times now and each time it's delicious. I've added bacon to it, too, since and it's excellent!

Exotic Mushroom and Walnut Pate

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
I've made this often and it's perfect just as it is. The thyme is a crucial element - it really brings out the flavor of the mushrooms. I've also occasionally changed it up (depending on my guests' palates) by adding a tablespoon of brandy, 3 oz of cream cheese and a dash or two of hot sauce.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2013
This is perfect. I didn't bake it. I just threw the shrimp in the pan with the sauce and it cooked in 4 minutes. I've also made the baked version and that tends to be a little more flavorful because of the longer baking time.

Lazy Lasagna in a Bowl

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
This was really tasty. It was odd as a soup, though. It would be better as a regular pasta dish. Next time I'll leave out the water and add a little more cream or milk to just make a sauce.

Easy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
A bit embarrassing, since I never make things from packages, but a friend of mine made these for me once and now it's the only way I cook pork chops!! This recipe is perfect as is. Also try it with beefy onion soup mix and/or cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic! It really doesn't need water added b/c of the mushroom liquid that gets released, but that's a preference. I wouldn't call it a "casserole" though.

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I'm not a vegan. But friends of mine are and were coming to spend Christmas with us. I made 2 batches of this bread (after first making an initial batch of 2 loaves). This is THE GREATEST snack bread recipe I have had in AGES!! My 3 year old LOVES this! Everyone ate this up so fast I had to make ANOTHER BATCH! Believe me, this recipe is GREAT!! If you're scared of the 1C of oil, replace it with 1C of applesauce. Same taste, more nutrition! But follow the recipe!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
