Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
first time I made my own pie crust. Followed exact. EASY! and came out great! I did not freeze my butter as other reviews mention, just cold from fridge, and I used a pastry cutter to cut butter in by hand and it only took a few minutes. I used it to make a pumpkin pie and cooked it in a stoneware pie plate. Everyone loved it!

Lavender Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2014
Used lavender from my yard...followed recipe exact except I followed some others and rolled the dough into 2 "logs" and refrigerated that then cut into 1/4" slices. I loved these! Will be adding to my favorite "summer" cookie list.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2014
followed recipe exact, except I sliced potatoes slightly thinner then 1/4". These were a big hit in our family. Very tasty! I didn't think that the sauce would work its way down all the layers of potato and the onion...but it did.

Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
made my own pesto, followed recipe...omg yummy!! Everyone in the family loved it! Only advise I have is, as much as I love pesto and wanted to slather it on the bread, DON'T! spread thin and scrape off extra on top and bottom slice, that's all u need otherwise it will overpower...and make sure to put your tomato slice between the cheeses. mm...

Best Lemonade Ever

we really love this lemonade. However we do add one extra cup of water because it is a little too sweet otherwise. I make it all summer long...wish I lived where I can grow my own lemon tree tho!

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2013
I really liked this recipe, but one thing I will change next time is not to add the almond extract or to add maybe 1/4 tsp instead of the 1/2 tsp.,I could really taste it and felt it overpowered the blueberries.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
Made these tonight. Followed recipe and one reviewer that suggested putting dough in a bowl and letting it rise for 1 hour and then shape into buns and let rise another hour. I never made bread of any kind before. But these did come out very soft and taste good. Next time I will just try the way of the recipe and see if shaping them and letting them rise for just 30 minutes makes any difference....I also had some dark spots on mine and my hubby said that was from air bubbles but I don't know...all the photos people posted here look perfect and no dark spots! I guess I have some more learning to do. I will make these again!

Doggie Birthday Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
Our chocolate lab LOVED it! She could not get enough! I followed directions and I did add the honey. Only thing is that 40 made the cake burn on the edges...I would cut back 5-10 minutes next time. I had to trim the edges off..Other then that, fantastic!! I will make this for her every birthday!
