Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
This was very disappointing. The dough was very greasy and nearly impossible to work with...and it's flavor and texture was unimpressive. The lemon and orange juice overpowered the flavor of peaches. Too much sugar and butter. It was a lot of work and the result was very bland.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
Scrumptious! 8 peaches was a lot....it overflowed my 2.25 qt. Dish. I increased the topping recipe by half and it was perfect. I also used 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with the fruit. Everyone loved it but I think I will use only 6 peaches next time.

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
I didn't use all of the sauce as others recommended....probably 1/2 to 2/3 cup was left over and the cake was still moist and delicious. Since this was our Easter cake, I decorated the top with pastel colored Jordan almonds ...it was beautiful and a big hit with my family.

Boston Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
This was okay...I've had better at Safeway's bakery. If you live at a high altitude, you need to find another recipe for the cake part, as I learned the hard way. Also, after you temper the yolks for the custard, it needs to be cooked longer than a minute....about three in order to set up. For the chocolate, I used way more than two tablespoons of hot water to get it to a spreadable consistency. Okay...but not worth the effort for me.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
These were good, but next time I will probably only use half of the butter. I thought they were way too greasy from the butter.

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Fabulous!I made this for my son's birthday and he gave me two thumbs up. I used the ice cream sandwiches for the first and third layers. For the middle, I let about 1/2 of a carton of chocolate ice cream soften and then I put it in my stand mixer with a crushed Butterfinger candy bar. I frosted it with Cool Whip and drizzled it with fudge sauce. It was a big hit.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
High Altitude??? I've never had a Cinnabon, but these were good. I live at 7000 ft, so I'm not sure if it was the altitude, but these didn't cook right. The rolls on the outside were done, but the middle ones were not cooked all the way. I had to put them back in and bake them a while longer. I think next time, I will only cook 6 at a time and make sure they are not touching in the pan. They tasted great and my husband abd boys ate them all and asked why I didn't make a second batch...guess I'll be making them again tomorrow.
