Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup
I tried this because I liked the large amount of veggies. This comes out better if they are chopped very fine. This helps them cook completely and they won't sink when served. These are very large servings. I started out making half to try it and I have enough for several lunches. My main downgrade is that cheese measured in cups can very a lot. I wish I knew the weight. I was reluctant to try popcorn but homemade croutons were great with it.

Steak Sauce
We do not usually use steak sauce but I will use this as a dipping sauce and a topping for meatloaf. I like this one since it is not too heavy on the Worcestershire. I experimented with a third of it and added garlic powder and a couple of drops of liquid smoke but the recipe is great as written.

Cranberry Walnut Bread
Butter and walnuts give this a tasty difference from the directions on the package of cranberries. This recipe is obviously three times the usual amounts so it easily scaled down. Be sure to use a very large bowl if you make this amount. I never go to the trouble of mixing a quick bread with these many steps. I dump the wet ingredients together with the salt. Then the soda and baking powder are sprinkled all over to distribute evenly and the flour is stirred in just to mix. Large pieces of cranberry and nuts can look good but can also cause problems making nice slices. I gave my cranberries a quick whirl in a food processor since there were so many.
