Super Bowl Sunday!

...which really has nothing to do with my particular cooking or eating.  :)  It's just hubby and me, and he keeps saying that he wants to watch his eating and his weight.  So, we'll eat in the living room, a simple chicken and pasta.

Wait! You recall that I am vegetarian, right? I will pick out the chicken and add a touch of parmesan cheese and I'll still be okay. As I said in an earlier entry, hubby hates that I "can't" eat what he eats. I wonder if he'll notice that I avoid the chicken. Hmmm??

Yesterday I made a Mediterranean Kale and Cannellini Stew with Farro. I had never heard of farro before in my (long) life.  Basically, it's wheat, whole grain, and not unlike chewy rice.  The stew stayed in the crockpot overnight on low, and I had it for lunch today.  I think it was even better today than yesterday.  A saver!

Okay, time to watch the Super Bowl!

About Me
I love Jesus Christ. I am sold out to working with children, especially to show the love of God to them. I also serve the seriously mentally ill, who are really quite delightful people when they are well.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook things to serve to family for family time together. It doesn't much matter what it is.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Everyone pitches in. That's the tradition I like so much.
