Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
I took the advice of other reviewers and marinated the pork chops overnight in 1 1/2 quarts apple juice, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup salt. I then make the sauce while the oven is preheating to 325 degrees. Instead of pan frying them, I bake them for 20 minutes in the marinade and top it off with the brown sugar mixture. IT IS AMAZING!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RECIPE! just make sure you marinate everything and bake it afterward, it really does make a big difference.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
This recipe is so great, especially with the fact that you can manipulate it however you want according to your taste. After carefully reading other hints from reviewers, I made the following changes: 1. I preheated the oven to 375 degrees and baked it for 50 minutes in the center of the oven. 2. I used 5 granny smith apples, and the pie was already looking slightly bigger than I wanted 3. Before making the sugar syrup to cover the apples, I combined all of the dry ingredients first and then slowly added them to the butter mixture. Since I like my apple pies with spices, I added: -1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon -3/4 teaspoon cloves -3/4 teaspoon all spice 4. after making the syrup, I mixed in the apples to make sure everything was covered before I put it into the pie crust. 5. I also put some milk, sugar, and cinnamon as another reviewer suggested and it came out perfectly! BEST APPLE PIE I HAVE MADE THUS FAR!

Regular Crepes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
these crepes are so good! crepes can be really hard to make, especially since the consistency of the batter and its proportions are everything...however, this recipe makes it easy and quick to make! Just a hint: it's best to use a cast iron pan ($20 at World Market) since these work best for this type of cooking.
