Puppy love. This is Indy my little shadow and my buddy. She thinks I am her mommy.
About this Cook
I am 63 and have 5 grand children. between my husband and I we have 13 grand children and I love them all. I love rving with my husband and two dogs, Fargo and Indy. My life is devoted to my husband and my two children and grand children. We spend a great deal of time together playing Wii. I take them to movies and love to be with them. My 13yr old grand son likes me to canoe with him and fish when we can. They are all involved in several sports making be very busy. Five years ago I received a kidney transplant from my husband allowing me to feel well enough to do he things I most enjoy. I love cooking for my whole family on occassion. My sons inlaw especially enjoy my cooking. I also have done much canning tomatoes, and making pickles and homemade relish and salsa. Now it's my step son than has gotten the most benefit from that. I trade him empty jars for full ones. That's fun~~I raise pumpkins for the grand kids and good friends. Every year they get bigger.
My favorite things to cook
Home made noodle soup, pastas casseroles and garden goodies. I love baking but wish I was better. Also wish I could do more but it is very fattening. I will make anything the family requests and that is good for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year TG is huge. We have enough appetizers to make a meal but we still eat home made noodle soup with mashed potatoes and turkey and sometimes ham. Then of course there are 5 desserts to eat. One favorite for each family and my husband of course. Takes us all day to eat.
My cooking triumphs
Home made carmels, and other Christmas candies.
My cooking tragedies
I made goulash so spicey we could not eat it. I had to throw it all out.
