Asian Salad

Really good! Works well with broccoli slaw mix too. Mix the seasoning pack in while browning the noodles. Often add mandarin oranges.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Wanted to make pancakes last weekend and realized I didn't have any pancake mix. Found this recipe and whipped it it up in just a few minutes. Tasted great, made them again today. Don't see any reason to buy pancake mix ever again.

Roasted Curried Chicken with Couscous

Really good chicken, I did not make the cuscous. Used leg quarters instead of whole chicken. Changes made, was out of chili powder so used a little siracha paste, was also out of sage so used a bit of poultry seasoning. Great flavor, family loved it. I think the siracha was good and will add more next time.

Garlic Alfredo Tilapia

Whipped this up for Sunday lunch for my wife and I. Took less than half an hour. I had frozen Talapia fillets and a jar of Alfredo sauce from Aldis. Cooked some pasta and broccoli to go with it. Really good fast lunch.

Mexican Shredded Beef

Good basic shredded beef recipe for tacos, enchilladas, burritos etc. You can modify it by adding tomatoes, jalepenos, green chilis etc.

Potato Chips

Amazing! I can't believe this works. I used evoo and sprinkled them with rosmary garlic seasoning. They were fantastic. Watch them closely the first couple times so you can see how long they will take with your microwave. Parchment paper works really well. I am going to try to figure a way to stack these in the microwave so I can make more at one time.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Made this recipe last night with both chicken and beef and they were both great. The thing I liked about this recipe was the simplicity, I hate recipes with a mile long list of ingredients. I also grilled some fresh pinneaple brushed with the marinade, It was delicious. I saw one reviewer who put pinneaple in hers and the chicken came out mushy. I learned that the hard way a few weeks ago, don't put pineapple in marinade unless you are only marinading it for a very short time.

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

I think many people who have made this have never had "baked" mac and cheese. No it is not "creamy", it is not supposed to be. It is a custard style mac and cheese. It is lumpy, cheesy a little greasy and deliscious.This is pretty much a standard recipe for it. My mom made this for fourty years except in the oven. I think the crock pot works better. Only change I would make is to use at least half sharp cheddar. I saw several people did not add the egg. To each their own but the eggs are esential or it becomes a totally diferent recipe.

My Crab Cakes

I wish I had read some reviews before making these. With 8oz (2 sleeves) of ritz crackers - way too many crackers. My wife described these as tasting like "already chewed crackers fried". They probably would have been ok with half the crackers, but honestly I would have done just as well or better with the recipe on the Old Bay box or even the one on the crab package.
