Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Thank you!!! I lost my trusty recipe and I have a bake sale tomorrow. This is exactly the recipe I've used in the past. I did a bunch of online searching and found fancy coffee cake recipes. No need for that. This one is perfect. A fellow Wisconsinite ;)

The perfect choice for my Christmas brunch. Not only was this delicious, it made my whole house smell amazing! The only addition I made was a few whole cloves. Merry Christmas!

Chicken Korma

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
This recipe is very easy and is great for a fast, weeknight dinner. If you follow the recipe and use whole spices rather than ground I can't see how they would need to be doubled. If you find a good spice store or Indian grocery that sells spices by the ounce, they will be very inexpensive. Whether or not this is an authentic korma, quality spices bump this recipe up from good to great. I really enjoy it and will continue to make it regularly.

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
This is a 5 star recipe. Not because it's unique or complex but because it's so basic and delicious. I love sweet potatoes!

Quick and Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
Very good, fast and easy. All the ingredients were already in my kitchen. I made a few minor changes. After draining the noodles and peas, I melted a little butter in the pan and sauteed the onions. And after everything was mixed together I sprinkled shredded cheese and bread crumbs on top and broiled until crispy.

Puttanesca I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
This is Puttanesca how its meant to be made. It's very quick and easy. There are a few shortcuts that I take to eliminate all the prep work for super simple weeknight meals. First, I use anchovy paste. I prefer the tomatoes to be chunky so buy diced canned tomatoes and don't bother with the sieve. Sometimes I even buy the olives that are already chopped in the olive bar of my grocery store. No matter what, good quality olives are key to this recipe. I've served the recipe with pasta as suggested and I've also served just the sauce over chicken many times. Either way, it's delicious.

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2006
Delicious! If I could give this recipe 6 stars, I would. It's a great way to jazz up rice, and add a little nutrition at the same time. This recipe is very easy and really doesn't take more time that it normally takes to make rice. Thanks, Sowmya!

Zucchini Saute

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
So simple and so good! I thought it was the perfect amount of rice. I used a red pepper instead of a green one. Very tasty! I will definitely make this again.

Spinach and Buttermilk Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2003
The flavor of the soup was excellent. I think next time I might puree all of the spinach to make it easier to eat. Also, I didn't quite understand what to do with the peppers. I cut them in half as suggested. But was I supposed to scrap them into the pot and then remove them after heating the soup?
