Chicken Tostadas

I'm not a big fan of this recipe - I think it relied too heavily on the spices for flavor. Too much cumin and chili powder.

Grilled Hawaiian Chicken and Pineapple Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
Not very good at all - I've had this type of sandwich in restaurants and loved it, but I didn't think the thousand island dressing went well with the marinade and pinapple. Needs something spicier...

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
I would give it 5 stars but the recipe didn't include frosting. I mixed 3T butter, 1 1/2 c powdered sugar, 1t vanilla and 3T milk in a bowl and frosted the rolls after they came out of the oven. Also, when they're baking it's a good idea to put a baking dish on the rack below them as they tend to spill out of the muffin pans.

Easy Strawberry Lemonade

Delicious and so easy. I would say to crush half of the strawberries and leave half of them whole.

A Number One Egg Bread

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Used this recipe, and made dinner rolls instead of braiding it (baked at same temp for about 10 min). They were beautiful, light and fluffy and delicious. I served them at my brother's wedding reception and I got so many compliments!

Pecan French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
Pretty good recipe - I liked being able to prep it the night before. The texture and flavor were good, but I feel like it's missing something...

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Great taste and texture. I didn't broil them, just boiled and baked. And like others recommended, I let them rise for 1 hour. Yummy! I don't think I'll be buying store-bought bagels anymore!

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
I used Panko as suggested and these turned out amazing, crispy and delicious. I also cut some zucchini into sticks and used the same batter to fry them, and they were tasty.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
Delicious comfort food. I made homemade biscuits instead of using baking mix (2 c flour, 1 T baking powder, 1 t salt, 1 t sugar, 1 stick butter, 3/4 c half and half) and garlic salt instead of poultry seasoning. Will definitely be making this again.

Quick Butter Croissants

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
I rated this recipe a few months ago and just made it for the second time, and I needed to change it to a 5 from a 4, it is really easy and delicious. This time I made it the night before and let it sit in the fridge as the recipe stated and I divided one half of the dough into 8 triangles for sandwich sized rolls and served with chicken salad, which was perfectly delicious. The other half of the dough I did into 16 triangles and rolled up with chocolate chips inside for a dessert - yummmmmy!

Fantastic recipe. I used the oven method and it turned out tender, glazed and delicious. Even my kids (ages 4 & 2) loved it.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Great flavor. I forgot to coat the blueberries in flour, and they sunk to the bottom and caused the bottom of the loaf to fall out when I removed it from the pan - so my only advice is to definitely coat the berries!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

So good, and not expensive at all (don't know why people are saying that!) I added green olives and pepperocini's as others suggested.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
I did this recipe for 5 servings instead and had it as a side dish. It was excellent as is, but I wish I would've read the other reviews first. Next time I will definitely sweat the eggplant slices and bake them at 450 for 7 minutes instead. Also, the eggplant slices really do need the sauce on top, then then the cheese, otherwise they dry out slightly.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Great recipe - I used it for pizza bagels and it was very tasty and easy. I used fresh garlic instead of dried. Then I froze the rest in ice cube trays for next time.

So yummy! I wanted it a bit sweeter, so I added 1 T sugar and 1 T vanilla extract to the cream as I was whipping it.
