I am a private/personal chef who loves to spend time in the kitchen experimenting and making recipes. After working for sometime along the side of a head chef in a small downtown restaurant, I decided to do the very thing I do best. That is bring families together at the dinner table.

My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my favorite family traditions is to make cookies and drink egg nog while decorating our Christmas tree. We normally go to Starbucks on the way to the Thanksgiving/Christmas Parade and afterwards shop for our tree. That night, we decorate.
My cooking triumphs
I've had the opportunity to cook for lawyers, engineering firms, and have received requests to cook at personal parties from other cities in North Carolina and as far as South Carolina.
My cooking tragedies
I can remember frying a turkey on Thanksgiving morning and it started to rain. The temperature dropped and the winds picked up rapidly. I could not get the temperature of the oil high enough to fry the bird correctly. It took me about 1 hour and 45 min to fry a 20 pound bird, in which it would have taken 30-45min.
