Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2014
I followed this recipe exactly and the eggs turned out fantastic!! Just like my grandmothers. I mixed the batter by hand, which was much easier. I also made 1 1/2 times the amount and divided the batter into thirds, 1/3 left alone for buttercream, 1/3 peanut butter, 1/3 coconut. I found the easiest way to coat the eggs in chocolate was to skewer them with a fondue fork and dip them. Once on the wax paper it wasn't difficult to hide the skewer hole with melted chocolate. I will absolutely use this recipe every Easter!

Pork Chops with Apple Sauce and Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
This was so easy and very delicious! I tweaked a few things: I used 2 1/2 c. of applesauce, 2 onions and 1 1/2 c. of white wine. I also seared the pork chops in an electric skillet, then turned down the temp and let everything simmer for almost 2 hours. Pork was tender, sauce was delish! Will absolutely make again!

Jennifer's Burgundy Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
Followed this recipe exactly and it's delicious! I used cabernet and it was great! I also added the mushrooms with the meat (earlier than the rest of the veggies) so they could soak in the wine a bit longer. Definitely a keeper!!

Cheesy Ham Potato Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
This recipe is definitely a family pleaser! After reading other reviews I decided to add a little extra sour cream and some milk to make it creamier, which ended up working perfectly. I also added some French fried onions to the top for the last 15 minutes of baking. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious. My picky kids even liked it!

Aw-some Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
I've tried several 'slaw recipies while trying to recreate my grandmothers recipe. This one is the best I've found!! It does taste quite a bit like KFC's. I followed the recipe exactly. I used fresh lemon juice too. This is my forever go-to recipe!

Texas Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
Very Good!!! Sauce unnecessary. I used "sweet baby rays" bbq sauce and it was just as good.

Empanadas

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
Finished product tasted good..but soooooo messy and difficult to make! The directions were simple, but my dough was sticky and hard to work with. They didn't look pretty, but tasted good. Going to search for a better recipe.

Fried Cucumbers

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Not as tasty as I'd hoped. I used another post's breading idea (corn meal, then egg, then italian bread crumbs) and that was good. Just not a fan of warm mushy cucumber.

Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Yummy! I followed the recipe exactly, and baked for 8 minutes. Perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! I think I made mine a little too big, so err or on the small side. The also spread quite a bit. But overall, easy (my 3 year old did all the work!) and delicious!
