About this Cook
i LOVE THE SAN JOSÉ SHARKS!! // I like to watch SONS OF ANARCHY, Homeland, and Awkward. I'm vertically challenged, so that makes me FUN SiZED!! =o] I'm a 80s baby. I love freestyle, oldies, and whatever else that sounds good to my ears. I like being able to buy shoes from the kids department. I LOVE TO SMiLE! I love to make others SMiLE! I love pretty flowers over roses. I'm Asian-American. My ethnicity is Vietnamese. Other languages that I speak are Vietnamese and enough Spanish to get by. My all time favorite movie is THE GOONiES, but I also love The Notebook & Napoleon Dynamite. I believe in KARMA. Someday, when I have a sufficient amount of money, I'd like to visit Vietnam.
My favorite things to cook
Oh! I love baking! I love cupcakes, cakes, and cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember when I was younger, my sister and I helped our mother make egg rolls. It was a mother-daughter bonding, which took a lot of patience as well as learning. We continued that tradition for a great handful of years, yet it died out after my grandfather died. May he rest in peace.
My cooking tragedies
HA! HA! HA! I have loads of those and too many to tell. Sometimes it was too salty or too bland. Other times it was overcooked or seldomly undercooked. Nevertheless, I have learned to adjust to the different ovens that I have used because they are all truly different.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I
We wanted try something new with the kids (9, 6), and we wanted to use chicken. So in search of a new recipe we've never tried, this one popped up! :) It was simple and we didn't want to rush cooking and preparing, I did everything ahead of time because No. 2 gets out of school at noon and No. 1 gets out at 225. I followed the directions as is with a little flare. I added parmesan cheese, Mrs. Dash, Accent, and a little bit of red chili flakes to the salt and pepper mix in the outside of the chicken. Instead of ham, I used bacon!! I served the chicken with angel hair pasta and steamed baby carrots and broccoli. I did cook some corn cobs, but we didn't get to that.
