Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
Very good---used garlic powder instead of garlic salt--great for corn on the cob, garlic bread, etc..

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
This is not the first time I made guacamole, however, it is the first time that I have used cayenne pepper in my guacamole, and boy was it good! I don't recall how much cilantro I used, but I always use lots of fresh cilantro and just keep tasting until I reach that desired taste. Super yummy---great refreshing summer snack---will be using this recipe again....thanks Bob!

Grilled Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
Recipe was ok, definitely needs some spices. I used an aluminum pan and really greased it so the potatoes would not stick. I will definitely try again adding some garlic powder, garlic salt, basil, onion powder.....

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
I thought this recipe was very good with a minor change--I used 1/2 cup of each low fat mayonaise, low fat sour cream and low fat buttermilk.....DH love it! I no longer will be buying bottled stuff.....thank you!

Grill Dough

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
My husband and I just loved this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly but increased the sugar to 1 1/2 tsp per other reviews and I'm glad I did. I also followed the other reviews who suggested 5 minutes on one side, then remove from the grill and top the cooked side and put back on grill for 3-5 minutes. Once grilled nicely on the bottom, I move up to the top rack of my grill and the cheese melts...yum! We will definitely be using this recipe throughout the summer--much cooler cooking on the grill than heating up the kitchen! Thank you for sharing!!

Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
I thought the overall flavor on the bar was excellent, the only change I will make next time (and there will be a next time) is to double up on everything. The bar and lemon topping were very thin--but the flavor is fantastic.

Beer Batter Fish Made Great

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Thought this recipe was good as is, but will definitely be adding more than spices than the recipe calls for. I also pan fried it, rather than deep fry--came out PERFECT. Can't wait to try onion rings with this recipe....YUM!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
The recipe was SCRUMPTIOUS--however, I didn't have pecans on hand, but walnuts instead--they were amazing. My hubby now wants these on his salads for work! Will definitely use all sorts of nuts with this recipe---very ADDICTING! Enjoy!

Southern Moon Pies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This was my first taste of a southern moon pie. We have made whoopie pies faithfully in my family and the whoopie pie is much more moist than the moon pies; which didn't bother me but my hubby didn't care for them. I also followed the advice of another reviewer who said to use the full 7oz jar of marshmallow creme but use the recipe stated ingredients for the filling--personally I think it was like eating fluff that had been sugared up--I wasn't impressed at all. Next time I will follow the recipe for the filling exactly as stated and see how that comes out. If I would have had more fluff on hand, I would have made another batch. All and all, not a bad little treat!

Lasagna Roll Ups

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Followed the directions on this recipe exactly; however I had to add a few ingredients. I used cottage cheese instead of ricotta and added italian spices which this recipe certainly needs or else it will be very bland. I also added some turkey sausage because my DH loves meat in his lasagna. I love the way the lasagna looks all pretty and rolled up! You can't even taste the tofu--hubby loved it with some homemade garlic bread! This will be the way I do my lasagna from now on--so easy! Thank you!

BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
My hubby and I thought this recipe was pretty good. I used dijon mustard because that was all I had on hand, and I think that altered the recipe a bit, so I do plan on trying this recipe again with regular mustard. I also used boneless, skinless chicken breast (sliced them into strips) and just threw everything in a crockpot (just love my crockpot)--the chicken was falling apart when I tried to pick it up. I then used two forks to shred--which was a litle bit of a pain with thin strips. Next time I'm going to use the full breasts, then try shredding them whole which should be a bit easier. All and all, we loved the recipe and plan on using it again. thank you!

Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I'm not a big fan of rosemary, but I've got to say that these potatoes were very good. Hubby also doesn't care for rosemary, but he gobbled these right up. We had leftover potatoes that we used as homefries the following morning. We will definitely use this recipe again. thank you!

Shrimp Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Thought this soup was a nice change to my recipe for chowder. I like the cream cheese taste in the soup, but felt it needed a bit more spices, so I added some Old Bay Seasonings and it gave it a nice flavor. I will try this base for either clam chowder or seafood chowder. Nice change...
