Chicken Puffs

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These were just ok. I added a few seasonings based on the reccomendations of other reviewers but they were still rather bland. Also, a bit too much bread. I will make them again and perhaps roll out the crescent rolls to be a bit thinner. I also made balls out of them as per the instructions but I see from the photo that the dough has actually been folded up and looks much thinner than the version I made. All in all, a decent basic recipe...just needs some more flavor.

Stuffed Jalapeno Firecrackers

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
These are wonderful! I made a double batch for a party last night and they were a huge hit! I could not find jalapeno bacon so I used pepper bacon instead and I made half of them using pineapple cream cheese. I do recommend using gloves to seed the peppers, however...especially if you are a contact lens wearer! (Ouch!!)

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
These were not only easy but wonderfully delicious! Just the right amount of tartness. I made them last evening to have for breakfast today and there were only 2 left this morning! These are a real keeper...thanks for sharing your recipe!

Made this for dinner last night and it was delicious!! I added a pepper in adobo sauce and 2 cans of diced tomatoes and used black beans instead of pinto beans. Yum!!!

West Indian Curried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
This was delicious! I made a couple of minor changes..I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts that I cut in pieces, cut way back on the salt, added a couple of carrots and used chicken broth rather than water as the liquid. This is a definite "do again"!! Thanks, Danielle!

Italian Cream Cheese and Ricotta Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
Thanks for this recipe, April! It is wonderful!! I made a couple of alterations based on others reviews..I added 8 more oz of cr. cheese and used only 8 oz of sour cream, per Dan leChef. I also baked it in a water bath at 350 for and hour and a half and then left it in the oven for 3 hours. It was perfect...no cracking!!! I also made a fruit topping for it with strawberries...very yummy! I am making this for my mother's birthday and will make a chocolate sauce to drizzle over the top!! Terrific recipe and easy, too!!

Magic Marshmallow Puffs

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
These were surprisingly good!! I made them with my grandchildren and we had a lot of fun making them! As one reviewer wrote, make sure the edges are completely sealed or you may end up with the marshmallows leaking out.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
I made this for dinner the other night and am surprised that after everyone had "just a little taste" before dinner that there was enough left to make it to the table! This is the best chili I have ever had and a definite keeper. I added a little cocoa to it and I had some leftover Rotele tomatoes from another dish I had made so I added those to the recipe...the chili would have been just as great without those additions, too. A five star rating!!

Vegetarian Four Cheese Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I love this recipe!!! I made it for a dinner party and it got RAVE reviews...a definate do-again!! For the pesto I used "The Best Pesto Ever" recipe which really was the best pesto ever. I will agree with others that the prep time does take longer than what it states in the recipe. Also, I used butternut squash rather than pumpkin. Delish!!

French Meat Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
This is very similar to a meat pie that my husband's French-Canadian grandmother used to make. I use poultry seasoning rather than allspice and also throw in some garlic. I have made it with just a top crust only and it turns out well. This is a definite keeper!!
