I make this every year! Only difference is I don't add pecans and I do add M-n-M's YUM!

Crunchy Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
I have made this 3 times now, first with turkey sliced thick from the deli counter, next with chicken and finally with leftover turkey - obviously it's great if I keep making it! Least favorite was with the deli turkey, other two were delicious!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
I made this exactly as the recipe states and they were delicious! I had them at a party and we ran out and people were asking for more! The only thing I would do different is roll them tighter. I didn't roll them tight enough so when I cut them they were unrolling some!

Cuban Banana Casserole

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
I would give this a 3 but my hubby would give a 5 so compromised with 4. If you are looking for something that is appealing to look at and to eat I wouldn't recommend this. When serving this I recommend serving immediatly. The longer it sits the more unappealing it looks! As far as taste it was a little too sweet for my tastes, but as I said my husband couldn't get enough! (Had 3 servings!) I only had it over icecream and it was still really sweet, couldn't imagine eating it alone.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
This recipe TERRIFIED me and stressed me out! The inability to open the oven was difficult. I just wanted to check the temp but resisted. I was so worried it would turn out dry but it was perfect! The roast was rare in the middle (the way my mother in law likes it) and medium to medium well towards the edges! When I took the roast out I thought I had burned it because it was dark and crusty but it was perfect! I used Montreal steak seasoning and the flavor was great! It is an inconvenience to have your oven out of commission but I planned my meal accordingly so I didn't have anything else to cook in there!

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I made this for the 3rd time tonight. I always follow the recipe exact - minus the oil and it's great! (I have even added marshmellows to the final cooking time and got rave reviews!) Tonight I didn't have the use of my oven (was making a standing rib roast) so I boiled the potatoes and using the same ingredients made these into mashed pot! They were fantastic! You can't go wrong!

Ham Bone Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
Wow! I can't believe I have thrown away so many ham bones! This is the best soup I've ever had! So much flavor! I made four minor changes 1- I used navy beans instead of kidney 2- I used the diced tom. with garlic and oregano 3- I used a red pepper instead of green 4- I added carrots - DELICIOUS!

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Ohh my! So delicious! I baked for 9 min and that was perfect! I used 1/2 an andies mint on each and the mint taste was strong. I think a whole mint would've been too much. I put the mint on the cookie for about 1 min. then just turned it over with a toothpick. It made a perfect swirl design and let it melt the rest of the way! I got 4 dozen cookies from one batch!

Oreo® Cookie Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
I have had this with both vanilla and chocolate pudding and would say taste wise it doesn't make much of a difference! I do like the presentation with chocolate pudding better. I have not found it necessary to ground up the oreos, in fact I just crush them with my hand and you have big yummy pieces that still form a crust just fine! Mmmm Mmmmm delicious!

Crab Cakes II

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
The first review on this recipe confused me as I couldn't figure out where they got breadcrumbs from, unless they meant the crakers. . . ??? Anyway this was a perfect pair for my husbands birthday steak dinner! He said they were the best crab cakes he's ever had! The majority of this recipe is crab meat so the end result is basically lump crab meat with a crispy outside! YUM

For me this recipe was just okay. I wish the potatoes had more flavor from the marinade.

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
These were very yummy and creamy. Just a little less flavor than I anticipated. I still didn't need to add anything such as gravy or butter but I just expected more of a garlic taste.

Grilled Garlic and Herb Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
I was looking for a marinade that was more than just lemon. This was sooo yummy! I made it for my husband for fathers day and marinaded shrimp and scallops then grilled them on skewers - DELICIOUS! * they do have a sweetness that I really enjoyed but if you're not a fan of sweet I would use less sugar. (I didn't feel it took away from the seafood taste at all and I marinaded a full 2 hrs.)

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
I was very eager to try this recipe and I was NOT disappointed! It was sooooo yummy! I made 5 with apple pie filling and cinnamon and 5 with cherry pie filling and cream cheese filling (4oz cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar). They were to die for! I doubled the glaze/syrup since I doubled the recipe and that was not needed. Everything still fit in a 13x9 so I only ended up using half of it!

Barbecue Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
I was a little worried when I started making this recipe that the ketchup flavor would be too strong. But the flavors of the sugar, peppers and onions mixed well with it. It reminded me a little of sweet and sour. I used boneless skinless breast and only baked them for 20 minutes so it wouldn't be over cooked. The only "problem" was with the reduced cooking time the corn was still cold, other than that it was a pretty good recipe that the family liked (even the kids!)

Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I thought this pizza was great! I typically don't like breakfast "casseroles" because there are too many eggs and it takes forever to cook - 3 eggs is the perfect amount to keep everything together! I used saus. bacon, onions and green peppers - there wasn't a bite left! Also I used a 13x9 and when unrolled the cresent rolls fit perfectly in my pan! Excellent recipe, thank you for sharing!

Taco Turkey Wraps

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
I made this today for cooking club and thought it was okay - not great. I think I may not have used enough of the sour cream mixture though as I had about 1/2 left. Maybe it would've been better if I spread the sour cream thicker!

Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
I have tried this recipe twice and like the sweetness it has. I think 1/2teas. of carrots is pointless so I've added more both times. Good recipe, not the best but worth keeping.
