About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Baking for my dad - he is the biggest fan of my baking and turns into a little kid when I bake and licks the bowls.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mamas bread (Mama Boula) - a finnish/estonian family tradition that is carried on by the women in the family, no breadmachine involved.
My cooking triumphs
Chicken noodle soup from scratch and diabetic cooking.

Braised Balsamic Chicken
great recipe, missing a little 'something', next time i think i will add more garlic flavour to it. made in the oven rather than on stovetop as i had a full stovetop of asparagus & corn on the cob. excellent flavour.

Cocoa Oatmeal Cookies
heavenly, added 4 heaping tablespoons peanut butter and didn't make any additions (no raisins, chips, etc) . wonderful recipe, smells delish baking. i baked mine at 350 for exactly 10 minutes on parchment and they are the wonderful combo between a crisp outside and lovely soft interior. the batter was quite soft (although my house is quite warm today) so i refridgerated 10 mins before and kept batter in fridge while they baked. didn't spread at all. YUM!

Carrot Cake III
this is wonderful, i read prior reviews. i used the applesauce/oil combo, half white sugar, half brown sugar, and easily used 4x the cinnamon and allspice, i also added 2 tsps of ground ginger and WOWZA it is amazing.
