Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
made recipe as noted. too sweet (by 1/4 to 1/3 cup). perfect in a 10" pie pan. don't skimp on the fruit. use all fruit suggested. cut butter to 3 tbps, could still be less.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
My cobbler came out just like the photo, but after the following tweaks: *chunky cut fruit *3 tbsp cornstarch (from 2) *8 tbsp butter (from 6) *reduced all sugar to 1/3 cup total instead of 1/2 cup *reduced topping to 2tbsp sugar used peaches that i froze from last season which i cooked in the oven til bubbling, then with topping it baked for full 30 min. delicious right out of the oven, didn't need ice cream.

I don't have a slow cooker so I approximately by putting in the oven for total of 4 hours at 350 degrees. It worked magnificently! Relying on a preivous reviewer's note, I dumped in 1 cup of bbq sauce and didn't bother with all the other instructions. Delicious!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
would be 5 stars AFTER all the recommended changes. my cookies turned out fine after I did the following: - cut brown sugar AND white sugar to 1/2 cup each. - used 1/2 cup instead of 1 cup raisins - added 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 cup flour. - baked to time required. more like 20 min for first batch and 10-15 min per batch thereafter. i like the cookies after all the changes, but can't imagine liking them without all the additional ingredients. - one alternative instead of the cloves and nutmeg is to add another 1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon
