Soft Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies have a wonderful buttery flavor. I added raisins, dates, walnuts and pecans. Nice chewy texture. Held their shape, didn't spread out flat. This will be my go-to oatmeal cookie recipe.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

I work in a hospital where the bacon is so good I crave it on my days off. I finally found out this is the method used to cook my favorite bacon. I agree that you need to increase the oven temp to 375 & the cooking time to 25-30 minutes if you like crispy bacon. I don't turn it or drain it until it's done. I immediately place on lots of paper towels to drain really well.

Easy Sausage Strata

My son loves breakfast casserole & we have tried them all. This is our favorite. I toast the bread and sometimes double it, but otherwise it's perfect!

Mom's Lasagna

This is the lasagna recipe I have used for 20 years. I'm ready to branch out and try some others but you really can't beat this basic, yummy lasagna.

Glazed Meatloaf II

This meatloaf has a good texture and flavor. I give it 4 1/2 stars (instead of 5) because it's not the basic homey meat loaf you MIGHT be looking for. It's kinda tangy sweet n' sour. If you're looking for something a little different and tangy, this would be a 5.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Wonderful basic mashed potatoes. If I have heavy cream I use that instead of milk. Be sure not to use an electric mixer or a masher, so as not to end up with gluey potatoes.
