Alfredo Sauce

Very good basic recipe. I ended up sauteeing garlic in white wine first,though.Reducing,then adding cheese and then cream and butter.Delicious!

I followed the recipe here,except I made it in my crockpot,and added 1 can of unsalted green beans.Also,I mixed 2 tbsp cornstarch with 1/4 cup of cool water at the end,and left the lid off for 30 minutes.Superb!The red wine is a MUST!It really brings out the meaty flavor.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

These were very tasty,but I may have done something wrong,because the breading kept slipping off of mine.I've made different fingers before,and this wasn't the case.My boyfriend and I both loved the taste (but he didn't care how they looked,he just wanted fried chicken,and it 'all ends up at the same place' he says) so I wish I knew what the problem was.Very good tasting,though,we had a great dinner with these,hashbrown casserole,and greens.Thanks!

Butter Pecan Cookies

I've never made better cookies! I've been trying to get into baking more,and these cookies really helped me get the gist of it.I did add the 1 tsp vanilla,but otherwise followed the directions. Very good,and a good base recipe to add things to.Thanks!

Garlic Cheese Quick Bread

My husband and I were short on $$ this week,and I didn't have any bread to go with our meal tonight.This recipe seemed like something we'd like,so I tried it,and was so glad I did!!!It turned out perfectly,and I followed the directions to the letter,with one exception;I added 1/2 packet of dry Ranch dressing mix.That would be my suggestion to other readers who find this a tad bland.Thank you so much,this will be a staple in our house from now on!
