I have recently become vegan, but my husband is not. I cook for both of us most nights of the week. I love trying new recipes and new ingredients.
My favorite things to cook
My husband & I work out a lot, he's a bodybuilder which means lean protein is crucial to his diet. I cook a lot of chicken breast, and fish recipes. It's always a challenge finding new and different 'healthy' ways to cook chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I live 1100 miles away from the rest of our family, so I have started my own traditions, such as turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He's always impressed with the spread I put on the table.
My cooking triumphs
I was so proud of my first Turkey back in 2005. Gets better every year.
My cooking tragedies
I attempted vegan banana bread for the first time, wow. That rock hard loaf could have put a hole in the floor! Cooking vegan can be a challenge especially when the ingredients aren't readily available.
