Breakfast Sausage

This tastes exactly like breakfast links, but I can do it with freshly minced pork from the butcher and no additives. Makes brilliant gravy to go with home made biscuits!

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
My family LOVES this recipe. I substitued salsa for the chile sauce, but other than that made it as per the recipe. Absolutely fantastic - easy and delicious. Reheats in the microwave really well for leftovers too!

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Good for meatball sandwiches...no doubt. I prefer a meatball that absorbs a bit more of the tomato sauce, and this recipe does not do that. Next time I will probably prepare the meatballs as indicated but will let them cook in the spaghetti sauce longer.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Beautiful recipe! This is now a regular part of our family menu. Like others, I have modified this a bit. I don't like chicken on bones, so use 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces. I also only use 1/4 cup butter - and I'm a big fan of butter - but the extra butter just isn't necessary and doesn't improve the flavor at all. Not using the meat on the bone, it takes less cooking time. I put foil on for the first ten minutes, baste with pan juices and then 20 minutes with the foil off...and it is done. Beatifully golden and delicious. Thank you for this recipe!!

Fresh Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I followed the guidance of others and reduced the sugar a bit, and added 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cobbler batter. I used probably five or six cups of cherries too - and it was divine. I made this for a family party, and it was wolfed down - no leftovers and no one got seconds! I would definitely make this again.
