Golden Oven Omelet

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Followed other reviewers suggestion and used less butter, added ground mustard and pepper. I skipped the salt all together because I don't like it with eggs, and sprinkled bacon bits on top. It was great! Will definitely make it again and look forward to trying different variations of it. Thanks!

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
Added frozen green peas along with the onion (thin strips instead of chopped), and skipped the cheddar cheese. Used a little less cream of chicken soup and sprinkled with real bacon bits. Smelled great while cooking and tasted even better! Thanks!

Used for dipping red peppers, loved the sweetness of the peppers with the dip! Think I will try as a salad dressing as well. It was great! Thanks!

Tropical Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Actually was going to make something else and had chicken marinating in teriyaki sauce for about an hour, then changed my mind, rinsed the chicken, and followed directions. I served it with white rice drizzled with the same teriyaki sauce and it was SO GOOD!! My boyfriend and I loved it. Not sure if the teriyaki marinade had anything to do with how it turned out but will definitely make this again, thanks!!

Actually baked instead of grilling. Used extra clove garlic. Made double the sauce and basted the chicken occasionally during cooking. It was delicious!! Next time I will pour the leftover sauce from baking dish over the chicken and some white rice. Thanks!!

Zesty Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Used chicken breast tenders and roasted red pepper with parmesan Italian dressing. Let marinate in 1/2 sauce for 30 minutes, then covered with remainder. Also skipped lime juice because I didn't have any. I loved it on the chicken but it may have been too much for the potatoes for me and my boyfriend.

Easy Raspberry Chicken with Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Actually ended up baking instead of using stove top. So I followed the same directions with breading chicken, except added rosemary in with flour and other ingredients. Then mixed the raspberry vinegar with a little olive oil (used a little more of each). Stirred chicken while cooking and kept adding the raspberry vinegar & oil throughout cooking. Skipped the rice and grilled red & green peppers with onions - seasoned with lemon pepper, rosemary, and white wine vinegar. They complemented each other very well. Made the kitchen smell delicious and tasted even better!! I will definitely make this again! Thanks!

Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
My boyfriend and I loved these!! I didn't have molasses so I just substituted honey. Also, I used a white onion instead of a sweet one. And real bacon bits from a jar to make it quicker, I browned the onion in a little olive oil. I am going to put them on top of a pork chop or steak next time.

Savory Herb Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
Have been looking for a good rice recipe and have not found anything I really liked but loved this one! I had a Rice-a-Roni mix that I bought on accident so I just used the rice (rice and vermicelli). Cooked in butter until browned, then added all other ingredients. I also substituted chicken stock for about 1/4 of the water. Tasted great!! I might try adding Yoshidas teriyaki sauce instead of the soy sauce next time to add a little sweetness.

Golden Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
Used chicken breasts cut up into strips. Only had garlic mashed potato mix so I used that, omitted the garlic salt and just added a little salt. I also added minced onion. Instead of dipping in butter, I used egg whites. Also, after baking time finished I sprayed with cooking spray and broiled on low for 5 minutes. Served with Jack Daniels Honey Smokehouse BBQ sauce for dipping. Was delicious!! I am going to try it as sandwich on onion hamburger bun with the same BBQ sauce because the flavors went really well together. Thanks! This one is a keeper.
