Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
YUM!!! This is so quick & easy - great for a busy mom. I also added a few dashes of balsamic vinegar to the bread mixture (which was 1/2 day-old crusty rolls cut up into squares because I didn't have enough stuffing). I also sprinkled some Parmesan on top of the mozzarella. Will definitely make this again!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Delicious and easy-to-make cookies. They're nice because you could make them soft & thick or crispy and they're good either way. The dough was so easy to work with, even my 21 month old could lift the pieces of cut dough and put them on the cookie sheet without ripping them! I would add almond extract instead of vanilla, but that's just personal preference.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
Perfection - best zucchini bread ever, and the blueberries send it over the edge! I did do slight alterations per the previous reviewers - 1/2 applesauce & 1/2 oil, and also 2 cups of sugar. My zucchini bread-hating husband even loved this, as did my picky toddler :o).

Sweet and Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
Very good, light and refreshing! I used the oriental noodles and it tasted great. I don't think I'd soak them next time because I think I'd like the crunch factor, but it's still good. Also, I used half the amount of Ramen noodles in order to cut down on fat & calories, and didn't miss the other package at all!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This recipe was easy and very good. I do agree that the breadcrumbs could use some butter, and the reviewers who posted the sauce recipe are definitely onto something (wish I'd read about it before I made it!). Overall though, it was a hit and I'll definitely make it again.

Sour Cream Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
I didn't care for this recipe. If you're the type of person who loves broccoli cheese soup, you'll love this. It's just not my thing.

Cheese Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
I guess I'm in the minority (I'm also 9 months pregnant and admittedly have "food issues"!). I really didn't care for this recipe - the mixture of the flavors kind of made me sick. My husband, on the other hand, thought it was great. He crumbled saltines into it and happily ate it so it's probably just me & my hormones acting up again :o)

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
Very good - just what I thought it would taste like. I used Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ Sauce. Next time though I'll PAM the perimeter of the crock pot - the BBQ sauce burnt around the edges and was a nightmare to clean off.

French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
The flavor in this soup is phenomenal (and I didn't even have wine to add - I can't imagine how it could be better!). I didn't have parsley, but I did add a bay leaf while it was simmering on the stove. I also used vidalia onions and cooked them for a good 30-45 minutes in order to caramelize them and sweeten the deal. I'll definitely make this again - it tasted just like it was from a restaurant.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
Very good - I marinated the beef overnight, and also added steamed green beans for the last few minutes of stir-frying. I served it over brown rice and it tasted like take-out!

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Very easy and delicious - I used a cheese slicer to slice the apples and it was perfect. The streusel topping is amazing - I kept it simple and served it with vanilla ice cream - it got rave reviews.

Tastes like it's from a restaurant! I didn't have sour cream and used mayonnaise and it was perfect.
