Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
We loved this! So easy and not all of the unknown ingredients as in the box mixes. Very fluffy and tasty. I do think next time we will add a little more sugar and some vanilla. We tend to like our pancakes a little sweeter since we use very little syrup.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2013
Pretty good. Browned and then put in crock pot. I think that I may use less brown sugar next time a little sweet for my taste. (because will definitely make again). You could even use ground chicken or turkey.

Easy Chicken Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
It seriously doesn't get any easier than this! I tripled this for a wedding shower and it was very tasty. And, to top things off, I had all the items in my cupboard. I intend to use this recipe again and will even add more spices. (Even though tasted great as is!) Easy recipe to change things up. The only thing that I did diffferent was stir fry the chicken since I didn't have a grill....

Homemade Horseradish Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
I made this to serve with beef tenderloin tonight. Sorry, didn't wait 2 hours before serving and didn't have the chives - but it was delicious and exactly what the tenderloin needed. Definitely a keeper recipe.......

Dry Buttermilk Ranch Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
Thought that I should have rated this since I have been using for 6 months now. I just love this Ranch Mix.....Use to make chip dip, use in mashed potatoes and use in a soup recipe that calls for ranch dip. I keep plenty on hand for whenever a recipe might call for it. This mix is great.....

Pasta e Olio

Seriously, I didn't think this was that good. I have had this made by my Italian Uncle and it was outstanding. I won't be making again.

Citrus Chicken and Pepper Fajitas

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2012
We really enjoyed this - far better than the dry packaged mixes. I had all the spices on hand. We grilled the chicken on the grill first and just threw in about the last minute of cooking. Since I had fresh cilantro I added that as well. I won't use a packaged mix again

Unstuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
I have been making this for years with a couple of tweaks (sorry, I know I hate it when people do it!). Instead of the soup I use a 26 ounce can of tomato sauce and 1 can of stewed tomato's. I use 2 cans of water and also about a 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I also use a green pepper and saute that with the onion and a little chopped garlic (I sometimes use ground chicken too!) We call it inside out stuffed cabbage

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I loved it! If you love hot dip make this recipe. Not a good recipe for whimpy people that don't like it hot. I heated up in the crockpot to take to a party and served it with gluten free crackers....delicious (I do think that next time I will add some sourcream to make less thick).

Sauceless Garden Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
yum, yum, yum. I wanted a good dinner, but a little lighter on carlories. Had friends for dinner to try this out on. It was great. Unfortunately I boiled the noodles which made the lasagne soupy (my fault). And, of course I did add at least another cup of mozarella (ok, made more fattening). Seriously, this was easy to make even with the fresh ingredients! Definitely on my go to list

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
This frosting has an ok taste.....used to frost a wedding cake yesterday and it never crusted enough to smooth out the cake. It is ok for borders and makes a fantastic black (2 cups frosting, 1 oz. black coloring and 1/4 cup powdered chocolate). Just didn't have that wow factor I was looking for in a frosting

Twice-Baked Ranch Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
I served with steak and Jamies cranberry spinach salad (from this site); what a great dinner. I did add about 1/4 c sour cream and to the mixture and served with sour cream. I did not use the extra potatoes as others called for. Very good alternative to regular potatoes. Yummy

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
Finally the hubby that thinks that everything is 'ok' rated it a 6! I did use 1/2 the butter and 1/4c less sugar than called for (and I hate it when people alter a recipe and then rate it) but I know what my family likes (less fat, less sweet) - this was absolutely awesome. I made fresh whipped cream and served right out of the oven. This was a great comfort food desert on the snowiest day of the year. And, for those that had a problem cutting and transporting the cobbler to a dish - I cut it in the dish to cut down on the mess!

I came home to this one night when my daughter and husband decided that they wanted to cook dinner! It was very filling and tasty. They didn't change a thing and all of the ingredients we had on hand. We will definitely make again. We are just trying to think of a way to make the rue lower fat.....

Creamy Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Oh my gosh !!!!!! This is one of those to die for recipes. I love it; the older it is the better it tastes. My Father in law said that it tasted great - and he is a picky old guy from down South. Can all recipes be my favorite!

Roasted Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
5 stars for taste, 4 for ease of preparation. I think that it took a while to prepare. What was great about the recipe is that it can sit out room temperature or be served cold. I made for Christmas Eve - had one Gluten Free and one Vegetarian eater for dinner. Pretty Good - lots of flavors. Wasn't just the regular old green bean casserole for a vegetable.
