Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
This is ridiculous. I find I have to use more butter in order to cream the butter and sugar, but aside from that, this recipe is INSANELY GOOD. You will be hard pressed to find a better banana bread recipe

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
MADE ADJUSTMENTS! This is a five for sure, although I'd probably make some adjustments to cut the fat if this was going to be in the regular rotation. If just making a couple times a year, it's perfect like this.... Bake the squash at 350-375 for 40 minutes or so, just till it is easy to scoop from skin. Do the onions with butter of course, I will use only 2 tbsp next time. I doubled the spices and halved the cream cheese. I simmered the onion, water, chicken cubes, and spices for 15 minutes, then added the already baked squash for 5-7 minutes to get the flavors together. Then blended with cc. Excellent. Would be a wonderful cup of heavy soup for an appetizer (small cup as it is THICK)

Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
You don't need to change a thing. This recipe is perfect. Like a bisque but you don't get that "I just ate a pound of butter/cream" feeling afterwards!!! I used chicken broth instead of vegetable broth because I didn't have any

So good! Wouldn't change a thing. A great meal. And yes, it makes much more couscous than needed.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
I'll save you the time. 1) Make this recipe 2) Bake the sweet potatoes, don't boil and don't use canned 3) Make this recipe. It's unbelievably good. Seriously. It's almost like dessert. I halved the sugar because after I baked the potatoes and tasted them, they were already sweet. Phenomenal recipe!

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Used butter instead of shortening, cut flour to 1 and 1/2 cups, used 3 cups berries, added 1 tsp vanilla, and grated in some lemon rind as well. roll the blueberries in about 1/4 to 1/2 cups flour to coat (keeps them from sinking to the bottom). ONE OF MY FAVORITE RECIPES!!!!!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Not a recipe for those of us who like to actually TASTE the salmon. Tasted like chicken. If you like that, go for it. For me, I'm sticking to lemon and a little bit of rosemary. Done.

Cheesy Italian Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
WOW. This bread was amazingly easy and unbelievable tasty! We used the leftovers to make turkey sandwiches on, and they tasted like a sandwich you'd pay 8 bucks to get at a deli. I'm making it again today!

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Great muffin! Great as is, but better with 1/2 cup brown sugar instead of 3/4 white, and I used cranberries the last time. I think any frozen berry will do!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
I use half beef, half ground pork, otherwise I follow the recipe. This is the best homemade sauce/meatball I've ever had, and that's from a guy who has been lucky enough to come from a family who makes just about everything from scratch. I'm not talking better than Ragu and the frozen meatballs at the supermarket, I'm talking better than grandma's. Thanks for the recipe Jeremy!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
Insanely good. WAY BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL! I make the dough by hand and use butter instead of margarine. Let's be serious, you shouldn't use margarine for any baking. Otherwise, I follow the recipe. They freeze and refrigerate well too!!!!

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
I wasn't big on soup as a meal, until Mulligatawny came into my life. All you need is some bread and you have a full meal. This recipe is AMAZING. If you like curry, you'll like this. Just make sure you AT LEAST DOUBLE the curry powder. I use 2 tsp red and 1 tsp yellow. Don't know if it matters using both, but I haven't made it any other way. Make it, you'll love it.

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
I love meat. I'd give it up if all veggie recipes tasted like this. Make this. Eat it. Love it. Easily one of the best recipes you will find anywhere, not just on allrecipes.com. I've started baking the veggies in the oven on days when I don't have a grill, which happens to be everyday since I live in an apartment. It's still great baked! The bread is key by the way. Use focaccia.

Karyn's Cream of Crab Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This was a great soup, although I will add half the crab next time. The taste of the sauce before I added the crab was UNBELIEVABLE! Unfortunately, it was completely overpowered by the crab once I added it. Oh, and the old bay amount was perhaps a little much, just add to taste! A fabulous recipe Karyn!!! Don't mean to take anything from it, we just all have our own taste buds, right?
