Simple Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
This is a great easy recipe! I could almost eat it with a spoon. I only had store brand mayonnaise and after reading the importance of name brand mayo in some of the reviews, I decided to use half cup sour cream and half cup mayo with the full cup of parmesan cheese and 15oz. can of artichokes. It was awesome! Me and my brother ate the whole batch before it had a chance to cool. I guess if I was taking it to a party I'd have to triple the recipe. It went great with Melba toast. I'm putt'n it on the list and sending in a picture.

Southwestern Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
This stuff is so good! I've made this recipe twice and it turned out great both times. The only things I added was jalapenos to kick it up a notch and an onion cooked with the ground beef. My wife loves it and its just as good after freezing. I think it will be a regular in this home.

Corn Pudding V

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This was so good! It was kinda between corn bread and corn pudding. I was able to turn it on to a plate and then on to another plate so it was right side up. I followed the recipe to the tee except for baking it a full hour the first time I made it. The second time I made it I thought I'd make it "my own". After reading some reviews I decided that jalapenos sounded great, then I add two beaten eggs . In the store I seen some Mexicorn,"perfect" and then decided to put it in baking cups (cup cakes). Well they stuck to the paper in the baking cups and the jalapenos and Mexicorn took away the great sweet corn pudding/bread flavor. I'd give "my own" corn pudd'in ***3 stars at best. I'll be making this again, probably before the weeks out, but I won't be changing anything except the cook time. Five Stars!

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
This was my first pie ever. I could not believe how easy it was to make and how great it turned out. It was a little tricky cutting in the butter, but I just kept cutting the butter smaller and smaller as I mixed until it got to looking like the coarse crumbs. With 3 apples left over, Im going to try apple turnovers today using this same pie crust recipe.
