Louisiana Crawfish Bisque
Being from Lafayette, LA, my husband gave me lots of when I sent him to the store to get the canned items. I had frozen leftover crawfish tails from a boil a couple of months back that I'd been wanting to use, so this was perfect. I did feel a tad bit guilty making it so quickly, but it was so delicious, there is no doubt this will be a regular at our house. I only had two hours total tonight to be able to cook AND eat this dish, and we made it with time to spare. And my husband shut up and enjoyed every bite! :)

Pork Chops to Live For
Holy Cow, or should I say Holy Pork Chop!! I am not a pork chop fan, though my husband and daughter are, and I LOVED this!! Like others, I made a few changes: I didn't use any eggs or milk. I simply mixed flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper together and just floured the porkchops with that mixture, no eggs. Then I browned them in the shortening. While they were browning, I mixed 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of cream of chicken, 1 can of beef broth, and 2 envelopes of onion/mushroom soup mix. I set the crock pot on 6 hours, and left it to cook. The meat was so tender, it fell apart. I served it over egg noodles and it was a HIT!! My husband and I split the leftovers for lunch at work. I think next time, I'm going to add fresh mushrooms. And, yes, I can see this being made again and again at our house!! Fabulous recipe!!
