Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
This has become a family favorite. It doesn't need any changes unless you want to add fruit. Thanks for the many Sunday mornings we had and will have having fluffy pancakes!

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
I wish, I could give it more stars, they are so easy to make.I made some changes like, 2 egg whites instead of a whole egg, splenda instead of regular sugar, margarine instead of butter, fat free instant pudding, light cream cheese and reduced some of the other sugars. Even with all those changes they were picture perfect and soft, yummy, just like the ones in the mall. I put in the freezer half of them to bake Sunday morning. You should give it a try. I used the bread machine in the dough setting. I even took pictures and send it to my sisters to show off!!

Boiled Tongue

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2003
This is also really good in tacos topped with chopped onion and cilantro and a good mexican salsa. My 8 year old love the sandwich for school lunch. I added some garlic and onion to give more flavor when cooking and cooked it in my slow cooker overnight is the best. Thanks for the recipe.

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2003
A long overdue review for this easy and fool proof recipe. I had been using this recipe for 6 year now. And had never change it. It is perfect just the way it is. Serve with roasted herb potatoes, a simple butterhead lettuce with homemade french dressing and you can impress your guest. Of course a good wine is a most. If you are a first timer roasting a leg of lamb, this is your recipe.

Barbara's Golden Pound Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2003
Great pound Cake! My first time cooking it. I didn't have shortening and neither lemon extract, anyway I went ahead and made this cake using 1 1/2 cup of butter and added 1/2 tsp. of baking power. I had people coming over for dinner and that was dessert. They ate it even when it was still warm. They loved it. I had baked this cake several times with the same great results and keep giving away the recipe. Thanks Barbara!

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: May 29, 2003
I made this one evening while my college sister was here with some of her girlfriends, and it didn't last. I was hoping for a little leftover for breakfast. But it was gone before it could even get it out of the baking dish. Thanks for the recipe.

Use your common sense when scaling this recipe for less servings. I scaled to 4 and it didn't seem to differ much from the original recipe for 12. Overall this is a great recipe, I served it over noodles and everyone loved it. Is a keeper!!!

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: May 29, 2003
Something when wrong with my meat( I even marinated the meat overnight), because it was not soft enough to eat. Or maybe it was that I cooked it on the broiler like someone else did on the reviews. Anyway the marinated sauce was GREAT!!! it has a wonderful small while cooking. I for sure will do it again but will try to use another cut of meat like fajitas and of course in the grill!!!
