Apple Cider Sauce and Pork Loin Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I changed a few things. I used apple cider instead od the condensed version. I also used apple cider vinegar. Before sauteing them, I sliced open the pork chops and added an apple stuffing. Then I seasoned the oil with cinnamon, nutmeg and garlic powder. I put in the over and half way through I turned over. I cooked them for about 20 minutes. I also drizzled the sauce over a few times while in the oven. At the end while on the stove I added corn starch and had to quickly stir. It became thick fast and was a great sauce!

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
I did some of the changes listed. Used splenda brown sugar and olive oil instead of butter. I also added the vinegar last. It was very tasty.

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
This really was a great basis for a recipe. The things I changed based on other reviews were this: I used Hormel finely shredded real bacon bits - I added frozen and thawed finley chopped white onions (frozen then thawed is softer versus the crispy fresh cut onions)- couple pours of hot sauce - finely shredded mexican blend cheese - spoonful of sour cream. OMG... I can't stop licking the bowl. My only regret is I didn't double the recipe.

Crunchy Chicken Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
This is awesome. However I made changes based on the reviews. I used Perdue Short Cuts honey glazed chicken, also used more mayo (cause mayo is yummy), added celery and finally I used a finely shredded mexican cheese blend versus strait up cheddar. I am not a big cheddar fan. I misread the recipe and dumped all the pecans into the mixing bowl. So I mixed them in and rolled it in walnuts. It turned out great.

Avocado and Cilantro Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
I thought the basis for this soup was a great idea. I read all the reviews and made some changes. I added 2 jalapenos, extra hot sauce and cilantro. It tasted just like a sour creamy gucamole. I was disappointed. The avacado was so overpowering you really couldn't taste much else.

Thai Chicken Curry in Coconut Milk

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
This was a good basis, but some things needed to be changed. It depends on the curry paste you use. It ended up the one I got wasn't hot at all, so I added like 3 tablespoons of cayenne pepper to help. I agree it does need something else. I also added garlic powder and some salt. Other than that I think it went well!
