Comforting Cube Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
My husband and I love this recipe. The steaks were kind of tuff but the gravy is great. Id like to try this in a slow cooker for tender steaks. I also left out the cajun seasoning. I read the bad reviews that said it was too sweet or too salty, but it turned out to be a perfect balance for me. Im excited to use this gravy on other meats.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Shocking good. Reading the ingredients, made me believe it was going to be way to sweet for me. I just had to make it to see for myself. Good reviews make me wana try stuff. Someone suggested to try cream cheese, which I dont always have on hand, so i used cottage cheese. I thought it balanced the sweetness nicely. Cream cheese does sound better. :) Thanks.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
These are the best muffins that I've made. I even over mixed them on accident, like I always do...but my family still loved them. Hopefully I can mix them just right someday and Im positive they will be so much better. I also used buttermilk. Just one question, is the batter suppose to be so thick? Ive never had a muffin mix so thick before.

Bar-B-Que Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Very easy and very good. I cook it with Tilapia. yum. I left out the salt, hot sauce, and I used Dijon mustard instead of powdered(couple of squeezes). I was lookin for a recipe that wasnt hot, and i think this is the one. ty

Very Popular Bubble Tea

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
This drink is just wierd. the tea was too sweet for me and the pearls were chewy. I used chai cause i thought that sounded yummy. I don't about this one. Just weird. All my friends love bubble tea, so i guess I'll have to try the stuff in the coffee shops. Fun to try. ty

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Very creamy. These taste much better than the truffles that are made with heavy cream. Better texture too. This recipe was a bit too sweet for me. I used 2 cups sugar and 2 cups chocolate. Next time I'd like to cut more sugar out and see if it works. It was incredibly fun to make. Use your imagination! These were yummy but not the best. It was worth makeing and has potential. I think it can be perfected. Thanks for the great recipe.

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Super good. The cake was just right. Not too moist, and not too dry. I used dark cocoa, it made them look super rich without tasting too rich. And yes, you absolutly have to wait till the next day to eat them. The cheese filling recipe is just like your basic cheesecake recipe. And anyone who has ever made a cheesecake would know it tastes better the next day. :) So make them ahead of time. I just wish the cake batter wasnt so runny. I made a mess. Awsome recipe. TY!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
Im giving this a 2 star cause the original recipe didnt work for me. Too runny and was grainy from the white sugar. I made changes and it turned out wonderful. I wont use any other frosting again. I used 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar instead of white sugar and reduced heavy cream to 1 cup. Much better. This was creamy and mild in sweetness, which means it will go with any cake without over powering it. I havnt tried piping it, but it was holding its shape when i frosted my Chocolate Suprise Cupcakes.(from this site, its a must try) It might be to airy for piping, but i bet you could get away with doing a border. Yumm Yumm.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
This was good but not great. First couple of bites were good but anything more than that was too much. If i try this again I'd reduce the cream cheese a bit and use blue cheese dressing with blue cheese chunks. Definitly wont use canned chicken again. Im not sure why there would be cheddar in Buffalo chicken. It didnt do anything for the dip. TY for the post.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Wow so good. I ate so many just out of the oven. Although these are not very chewy at all. I prefer chewy cookies but the taste is so great, I can deal with the softness of this cookie. My family loved them. MY husband liked eating the dough more. Ty for the Rock Awsome recipe.

Jo-Ann's Power Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
This recipe is great. I used almonds instead of walnuts and used 1/2 cup apple sauce instead of oil. We buy the no added sugar apple sauce kid cups for the kids, so that worked great. It might have been too much apple sauce, but my bars came out chewy and kind of crispy on top. I also dont buy instant oatmeal so I used rolled oats. Im going try all kinds of ways to make these. Ty for the recipe. Very filling.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Very good. My husband is a picky eater but he totally loved this. I thought it was too salty so next time I'll use low sodium soup. I cooked it exactly how the recipe says. The chicken is so tender and the smell is awsome. It made me hungry all day smelling it. Ty for the recipe

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Not good at all. It needs more veggies. I thought it was wierd to add canned beans UNDRAINED, but I did it. I makes the chili slimey. I thought it also needed more canned tomato, maybe diced tomatoe instead of crushed. The turkey was good. Ill definitly use ground turkey next time I make chili. But I wont be makin this again. My suggestion, drain beans and add an extra can of diced tomatoes to make up for the liquid.
