Cathy's Amazing Fish Chowder

Excellent!! I don't know what Maine chowder tastes like, but I just threw in some fish I had in the freezer, thawed it, cut it into 1" cubes and dumped it in the pot. I also added a can of cream style corn and garlic salt. I'll keep this one in my personal recipe box.

English Muffin Loaves

For you bread machine lovers, I halved the recipe, put the ingredients in my bread maker according to the direction, (liquid first, then flour, etc., with yeast last), turned the bread maker on "dough" setting and let it mix for 10 minutes. Took the dough out, put it in a bread pan, let it rise, then popped it in the oven. Turned out great and with a lot less work mixing the ingredients together.

Pressure-Cooked Beef Stew

I must be from a different part of the country, because I would call this recipe "Pressure-Cooked Pot Roast". I was looking for a beef stew recipe, found this one and realized, after making it with stew meat, that it was actually pot roast. Not too quick on my part, but the recipe is really good when made with stew meat. After the veggies are cooked, mix in the warm, cooked stew meat and you have a great stew. Kudos!!

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Interesting recipe. Would you believe it's the same recipe as in my old Better Homes & Gardens cookbook copywrite 1981? In BH&G it's called "New England Baked Beans". The only diff is this recipe doesn't call for salt. But the crockpot method is identical.

Deviled Crab Casserole

Excellent recipe. I would, however, eliminate the 6 Tbsp of butter and use a little drizzle of olive oil instead. The butter made it too rich, in my opinion. Other than that, it was delicious.

Baked Oatmeal Squares

Not too thrilled with this recipe. Followed directions, came out of oven looking good, but let it cool a bit and cut it into bars. It was very crumbly, unlike "breakfast bars". Was a tad salty, too, I thought, but my wife didn't seem to think so.
