Fennel in Wine and Honey
This was wonderful! I didn't have white wine, but I used dry sherry (don't use "cooking sherry", as it's loaded with salt and you can find a good quality sherry that's good to drink for cooking.) Like another reviewer, do make sure the cooking liquid is simmering or it will take longer than 45 minutes. Thank you, shari p. for the recipe!

Nana's Acorn Squash
Thank you, so much, for this recipe. No matter what you like on your squash the method is perfect when you have no time for the oven. And, this method produced the best result I can recall, even with oven baking. If you cut the squash crosswise, you'll get a pretty scalloped edge for presentation, if you're serving each half squash in its skin.

Best Brownies
There are many brownie recipes on this site, but I chose to try this one, never having made brownies from scratch before. My husband and I really enjoyed them! The only trouble is having the will power not to eat them all at once! BTW, I substituted spelt flour, because I try to avoid wheat. Spelt is a very similar flour to wheat and the result was great! I also tried adding chopped walnuts. With or without, the brownies are great!! (If your results are not what you expect, check your oven temperature. Also, ensure you take the pan out early enough.)
