Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
Followed directions and used 4lbs of chicken. Was good but dry for some reason. I think I might have cooked it too long but it was good never the less. Will make this one again and try to get it moister. The flavor was good but was not as lemony as I expected. Was subtle which was ok.

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This is a keeper. I did read and took the suggestions for 3 cups of flour, use butter, and cook at 350 for 6-8 minutes and they turned out light and crispy around the center and nice and moist inside, a dry moist though. I cut them a little thinner than 1/4 so they could be used as a coffee cookie.

Mozzarella Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I wouldnt put in the 1/4 c of water. It was not a sauce.. it was so watered down. The chicken must have had a lot of water in it or the water added was too much. Made it as stated but put cheese on after it was done. Had a nice flavor and would try it again with out the water added. I used a small onion and put ontop the chicken in slices. Chicken was moist.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
had a 3.5 lb roast. used one can of soup, 1 cup water, and one pack of McCormic Stew mix. Put in crock pot on high for 8 hours and it was great. Moist - soft and enough sauce for the meat. Will make this again.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
I liked the bread as it was. I just added more bananas but just to use the last ripe one. Was good will keep this as a banana bread again. Didnt do muffins.. did two loafs. I also didnt put the topping on - didnt want the extra sugar. I think these would be good with walnuts as well.

Garlic Asparagus with Lime

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Good. I have been eating this stuff for years with just Mayo. This is a nice change. The only problem I had is when I put the asparagus in after cooking the garlic. The garlic started to burn. Otherwise the garlic was white. Not really sure why... but otherwise it was good.. just didn't eat the garlic chunks. cooked in like 10 minutes... I like mine tender soft... not just tender. I will do this one again for sure. :)

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
Doubled to make more. Cooked as instructed and they turned out good. Nice PB flavor but not too sweet. I really liked this one over any others - I will be sure to add it to my collection and get rid of the others. Nice and crispy but moist on the inside.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Not sure why these have so many raves. I made them as posted and they were too greasy. I think too much butter was used. If I baked for 8 minutes they were softer and not hard on the bottom but if I went one more minute they were crispier, less buttery - but not good. :( This is a bad.

Fresh Apple Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
I had to cook the cake for over 60 minutes. I think it was 65 but it was longer than stated. I would have also cut down on the amount of oil - it took a while for the cake to be a cake after it was cooked. I let the cakes cool for a half a day to a day and they were MUCH better consistency and taste. Let them rest over night and then serve. I ate them with out the icing - just the cake. It was a big hit.. not too sweet but nice. I added more apples than called for and put in about 3/4c brown sugar. Would have been good to put some cinnamon in it - I put it on the top. I would make this cake again.
