Sugar Cookie Icing

This icing is awesome...as good or better than the expensive store-bought kind and you can make gorgeous colors based on what you need. The icing sets up shiny and firm, no complaints. This is now my go-to icing recipe for my sugar cookies!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

This is now my go-to cornbread recipe. The only thing I have done differently is to alter the amount of sugar. I like it to be a little sweet so I only used about half or less of the sugar called for. It's absolutely wonderful, either way. Also used the recipe to make my cornbread stuffing at Thanksgiving - it was a huge hit. So glad I found this recipe! Thanks!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

This recipe made an excellent loaf of banana bread. I did make a few adjustments - added a bit of cinnamon and ginger and some lemon juice as well. Also mashed the bananas instead of slicing, which just sounds gross. Sprinkled the top with cinnamon mix from Pampered Chef. It did taste better after it had time to "rest." I couldn't resist trying a piece of it warm out of the oven, but it was better the next morning. I would have rated it 5 stars if I hadn't had to make all the adjustments to the original recipe. Overall, a keeper. Will definitely be making this one again.

Summer Squash Puffs

Tried these over the weekend and they were wonderful! The only thing I did differenly was cook my onions with the squash (I didn't want crunchy onion pieces in the finished puffs) and added about a half cup or so of a 6 Italian Blend Cheese. Made them with a small cookie scoop (from Pampered Chef) in our Fry Daddy. They were perfect! Hubby raved about how good they were. (And both my mom and mom-in-law asked for the recipe! SCORE!) Will definitely be making these again!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

This cake was DA BOMB! Made it for my mom's b-day and everyone raved about how good it was. It's the perfect light, creamy dessert. The cake was super moist, with the perfect balance of coffee, liquor, and creaminess. LOVE IT and will definitely be making it again. Thanks for posting it!

Zucchini Patties

One word - AWESOME! These were so good, everyone raved about them. The only thing I did differently was add a touch more flour than called for and a bit of garlic salt. I will definitely be making these again and will be freezing some of our zucchini crop this year so we can have them all winter! Thanks for this yummy recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

It may have been an error on my part but we didn't like this too much. The canned biscuits gave it a strange flavor and it seemed like there were too many dumplings and not enough liquid making it just a big sticky doughy mess after cooking. Probably won't be making this again.

Cucumber Sandwiches III

These were very, very good. A very easy appetizer to make for a large gathering. Will definitely keep this recipe on hand! Also, I used english cucumbers which have fewer/more tender seeds and have less "afterburn" than a regular cucumber has. My husband liked them and he hates cucumbers!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

This was pretty good. I think the results will vary based on the cut of meat you use. Next time, I will try to find a leaner roast than the one I used as it turned out a little too greasy, making our au jois not as tasty.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

This was an excellent topper for my chocolate bundt cake. Will keep this on hand for other cakes, as well. Don't try it with white chocolate chips. It doesn't work at all!!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

This turned out pretty good. I think I overbaked it a bit and it was kinda dry. Will try it again though! (Did try it with a stawberry cake mix and white chocolate morsels. It was okay but I wouldn't recommend it b/c the white choc. chips can't take the heat that long like a regular choc. chip. They sorta scorched in the cake. It was eatable but I won't make it like that again.)

Bean Burrito Casserole

This was an excellent, tasty, economical recipe. It was huge hit with my family. The only thing I changed was to use Nacho Cheese soup instead of the cream of chicken and used more cheese. Also added some jalapeno peppers to half for my hubby who likes the hot stuff. I will definitely be making this again!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

I absolutely loved this recipe! It was very easy and was a big hit with my hubby and my two year old twin boys who are picky eaters, to say the least. The only thing I will change up next time is to add a little more seasoning - definitely some salt and perhaps some italian seasoning to punch it up a bit. Overall, a great, easy sauce recipe that can be dolled up for lots of pasta dishes! Thanks for posting!!
