Smothered Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
I followed the recipe exactly and it just didn't taste right. The sauce was not a savory brown color it looked more like gravy. Just weird. I won't be making this again.

Candy Corn Bark

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
This was a little tricky to make as I wasn't sure about leaving the chocolate on a flat baking sheet. I lined a 9x13 with wax paper, put everything but the chocolate on the bottom and then poured the chocolate over all of it. I also left it in the fridge for as long as it took for it to get eaten. I noticed if you don't keep it in the fridge it melts fast. It was super tasty and all of my friends enjoyed it.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
Instead of using red wine vinegar I used white wine vinegar, I substituted the vegetable oil for olive oil, and instead of powdered mustard I used the same amount of regular mustard. I also added sugar to taste. My husband and I grilled our chicken breasts after a 24 hours soak and they were absolutely delicious. I will certainly be using this again with my own twist on it.

Butternut Squash and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
My husband LOVES this recipe. I made it as suggested but I used fresh corn off the cob instead of hominy. I will be making this again and again.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
Great recipe. I followed it as instructed and used some bottled BBQ sauce that my husband and I love. We ate on it for about half a week until it was gone. Good stuff.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
This recipe was easy and I had everything on hand to make it. I did use 4 bone-in pork chops though instead of boneless. I changed a few things. I omitted the ginger and salt as suggested by other reviewers. I used 1/2 cup each of brown sugar, soy sauce, and ketchup with the usual garlic and spices. It had all the makings for a good meal but we didn't like it at my house. The left overs were too sweet. If I ever make this again I will use boneless chops and add some salt.

Easy Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
I followed this recipe as instructed and it was moist, the apples were soft, and when I took half of it to my moms she begged for the recipe and made her own just this weekend with the same delicious results. Next time I will cut the apples a little thicker because the texture was good but could have been better on those.

Glo's Sausage Fried Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
I followed the recipe word for word. It was good. My husband didn't care for it though so I probably won't make it again. It was a lot of work as well which is another reason I won't make it again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
Delicious recipe but I changed a few things. I used a can of peas and a can of corn. I used 3/4 cup chicken stock instead of water. At the end I used water to cover the top of everything. It wasn't much though. I also added some all seasoning and one can of biscuits instead of two. Perfect and delicious. My husband loved it.

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and served over egg noodles. I loved it! Just keep in mind that it is nothing like the hamburger helper stroganoff you might be use to but it is super yummy.

Super easy, I followed the directions exactly except I used a 2lb boneless pot roast. My family and guests loved it. I also added potatoes for the last hour. Absolutely delicious.

This was a very easy recipe as well as simply delicious. Next time I might use pureed tomatoes since my husband isn't a fan of the crushed.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
I followed the directions exactly and this cake was delicious. I suggest spraying your cake pans with Pam or really greasing them up because although I did as this recipe asked my cake still stuck to the bottom of the pans.
