About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My favorite types of cooking would have to be main courses, especially grilling and anything unique. I also look for recipes that use more spices for flavor than salt.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family cooking traditions date all the way back to my great-grandmother. She cooked everything from scratch, so I don't use boxed mixes for my cooking.
My cooking triumphs
My great-grandmother used to make a Molasses Cake with Buttercream Frosting. She passed the recipe down to my grandmother, my mom, and now to me. Another great recipe I always cook is the stuffing for the turkey on Thanksgiving.
My cooking tragedies
Anyone who knows me knows about my one and only "Chain-Saw Pizza" disaster. We had just met some new friends and invited them over for dinner one night. I made home-made pizzas, but the crust was so hard we agreed we might need a chain saw to cut it. The pizza didn't turn out so well, but our friendship with this couple has lasted more than 20 years. I have since gotten much better at making pizzas!

Ancho Honey Mustard Sauce
I love sauces and dips that are flavorful and versatile! I used this sauce to accompany the Chicken Nut Puffs appetizer and it was delicious! This sauce also freezes well, so I just take it down the night before I need it and serve it with our appetizers. Great recipe!
