My favorite things to cook
I love dinners that are simple and tasty. I love when my husband and I cook together. He put a little of his love and I put a little of my love. Sometimes we over cook b/c we think the other person is checking the stove!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like learning how to back traditional Italian cookies. I've learned from an adopted grandmother and from our Nonna.
My cooking triumphs
Birthday cakes. I made a Wonder Pets Fly boat- that was awesome.
My cooking tragedies
3 Fires: The first fire was small. While eating our cheesy bread one evening we started to smell smoke. I looked in the oven and saw the pot holder I just used. It was in the oven burning. To this day I do not understand how I got the bread out and left the potholder in the oven. The second was pretty big but no damage. I was putting a mug of water in the microwave over the stove. I dropped it in the frying pan. A huge ball of fire and volcano of oil came from the pan. I ran for my life and my husband put out the fire. Lastly was pretty interesting. I placed a small loaf of Italian bread in my small toaster oven. When I opened it up it looked like a yule log because it was a bread loaf with a fire burning on top of it! Needless to say I am much safer now.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
Tastes wonderful. It cooked uneven and usually I don't have this problem on convection bake. I cut the sugar in half... maybe that is why it was thicker at the bottom. I liked the spice mixture and amount of spices.

Greek Traditional Turkey with Chestnut and Pine Nut Stuffing
I used this recipe to make meatballs is I mad an orange cream sauce for the pasta I served them with!

White Chili with Ground Turkey
It's still cooking and it's great. I'm notorious for throwing in what I have. I did add some crushed tomatoes and some garbanzo beans. I love the smell of this soup. The cinnamon was a great touch.
