T Bird's Beef Jerky

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I was afraid to add as much sodium to the meet as the recipe called for... but you couldn't tell once it was done - very tasty. It did take longer to cook than the recipe called for... I had some strips in the oven for 8 hrs.

Herb-Stuffed Red Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
This was a great recipe... I will make this again for sure. Excellent flavor and aroma. I made a few substitutions: royal mixed rice for the brown rice and ground turkey for the ground beef.

New York Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
I too am shocked with this recipe. It was the worst cheesecake I have ever made, or ever had at that matter – even if you throw the box mixes into the category. The crust burned, even on the bottom and the flavor of the cheesecake part was off. I strongly suggest trying a different cheesecake recipe, whoever finds this good hasn’t had good cheesecake.

Sparkling Punch

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Great! This is by far one of the best punch recipes I've tried. It would be wise to take the advise of everyone here and double the recipe... it goes fast! This recipe is also really good if you use frozen orange juice if you don't have the frozen lemonade on hand. I also started using frozen fruit instead of ice cubes... keeps the punch cold and is a yummy treat!

Grandpa McAndrew's Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
This is the first time I have made or had Irish Soda Bread. From what I have heard this recipe is pretty accurate to taste, texture, and ingredients. I really liked it, followed the recipe and not reviewer recommendations but eyeballed the amount of raisins.

Took this to a Super Bowl party. Everyone loved it! I added a whole bag of mini candy bars though.

Great! Next time I will add less brown sugar and cinnamon... but still enjoyed very much!

I loved the recipe. The only thing I changed was that I added sage. Great recipe!

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I thought this was a decent base recipe. It needed a lot of stuff added to it. Too bland as is. I doubled the spices, added curry & crushed peppers. I finished off with a dollop of light sour cream.

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
I was not happy with the results at all. What was good: I like using half-and-half with mac and cheese. I always use the fat free. I love a variety of cheeses... but I don't think I like using this combination again... especially the processed cheese food. I suggest instead of processed cheese to make a rue and make the cheese sauce separate. The right sauce and cheese will make it even more creamy and a little more of a natural taste than cheese food has to offer. What was bad: The recipe wasn't written the best. No herbs or seasoning. I ended up adding some basil and powdered mustard. Powdered mustard adds a very nice flavor to mac and cheese. Even if you are not a fan of mustard do not be afraid to try it. You only need about a tea spoon or so... I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. Processed cheese food - I don't like the it adds... at all.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
My boyfriend really liked this. I thought that the sauce tasted pretty good on it's own... but then when I added into the mix I thought the flavor was not quite right. I added a few more veggies than called for and found that the sauce was not quite enough either... I doubled the recipe and found to be a little happier with the result. All in all I thought the recipe was pretty good... but not my favorite Asian creation.
