About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Love to bake... cakes, pies, cookies and other yummy sweets. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Italian!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year at Christmas we have a baking day and then the kids help decorate the sugar cookies. This is something I did as a child with my mother and I love being able to do it with my own children.
My cooking triumphs
I always doctor up a receipe (love the spices and everything taste better with garlic!) I've also mastered the perfect pie crust and everyone is always asking for my apple pie. I am usally the one who gets nominated to bring the desserts to our family gatherings.
My cooking tragedies
Once in awhile I like to experiment, I've had some suprisingly killer results and then I've had several that makes you go, "what were you thinking?".

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies III
OMG!!!! These cookies were so FABULOUS!!!! Tried them for the first time tonight and the whole family LOVES them. We're snowed in with a blizzard going and these warm, delicious morsels really hit the spot. I highly reccommend nibbling on some after they have had a few minutes to cool and then washing it down with some milk. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS!!! :0)

Key Lime Pie VII
This is absolutely the BEST pie ever! I've never had key lime pie and wante to try it after eating some key lime pie flavored yogurt. I saw this recipe had the highest number of reviews and figured I'd give it a try. It was long and tedious work getting the juice out of those little key limes. I noticed someone on here mentioned using a garlic press, I'll definitely do that next time. Like others, I never saw it bubble, but baked it for 10 minutes and then popped it into the fridge. The first bite was like an explosion of flavor. Thank you for sharing!!
