Whoo hoo! I've been around the world and back or at least it feels like it. hehe...I really don't love to cook, but I love to eat. I hardly ever cook a meal if there are a ton of ingredients or if the cooking directions take more than 1/2 of a page. I wish I married a chef. Although, I cook OK I cannot bake. My desserts are terrible. You know it's bad if you can't make Jello! hehehe...
My favorite things to cook
hhhmmm...I love Italian food,Creole, vegetables (all of them) and I don't make any particular dish very often. I get bored easily and I cook foods from all around the world. I'm not a big dessert person, but it may be because I don't make very good desserts or perhaps it's the guilt.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Eh, my mom always made fresh foods, but I have to say, she did not use a lot of herbs and she used those big chunky onions Eddie Murphy talked about. hehehe...The woman can bake and I unfortunately, did not inherit the gene! No, I do not make any meals my mother did. Kinda sad now that I think about it.
My cooking triumphs
I don't forget about my boiling water any more. hehehe... No, I think my biggest triumphs are cooking a fresh, healthy meal in less than 20 minutes and the fact that I NOW enjoy most of the foods I cook.
My cooking tragedies
I'm afraid there are not enough characters here...I actually failed at making Jello 3 times!!! Inconceivable! I have this problem of not following recipes word for word and in the beginning it really created a lot of nasty dishes.
