I'm married with one daughter (born 04/04/09) and two cats. I enjoy cooking and trying new things. One of my fondest childhood memories is being in the kitchen with my mom and her teaching me how to cook. Those recipes are still family favorites to this day, along with some new recipes I've created on my own. I'm looking forward to spending the same time teaching my own daughter how to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I love experimenting and trying new recipes and seeing what recipes I can create. Some have been great and some not so much. I love cooking Italian food and have been enjoying Mexican dishes lately as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Like many others, my favorite family cooking traditions would be helping my Mom with Thanksgiving dinner while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and doing all the Christmas baking. I hope to start some new traditions with my daughter as she grows older.
My cooking triumphs
My creamy mushroom chicken. And pretty much anything that puts a smile on my family's face.
My cooking tragedies
Oh, this is easy. That horrid Asian chicken I cooked in the crockpot and the fancy beanie weanies (Of course the name of the recipe isn't fancy beanie weanies but that's exactly what the dish turned out to be).

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue
Wow. This was fantastic. I used 4 large, fresh chicken breasts, 20 oz of BBQ sauce, 1 cup of Fat Free Italian Salad Dressing, 1/2 cup Brown Sugar and 2 TBS of Worcestershire sauce. I cooked the chicken 5 hours on low before shredding and then putting back in the croclkpot with the sauce. Then I let it cook on the warm setting for about another 45 mins. It was perfect. This one goes in my keeper file.

Buttery Cooked Carrots
These were very tasty. I think I would thicken up the sauce a bit next time. other than that, it was a nice take on cooked carrots.

Amazing Pork Chops in Cream Sauce
With the exception of using 4 pork chops instead of 8, I made this recipe exactly as stated. It was fantastic! Definitely a keeper.
