Slow Cooker Blackberry Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2013
Holy cow! this was good. The contrast of the fresh berries sourness and the honey's sweetness made a nice sauce. I watched the cooking time to make sure the pork didn't dry out. I'll make this again for sure.

Butternut and Acorn Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
This is work, but it is worth it. I ended up forgetting to put the cream cheese in and didn't miss it. I imagine it would be even better. Make this.

Hungarian Goulash I

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
Made this in a slow cooker but otherwise followed the recipe. It was so yummy I didn't even mind the noodles it was poured over and I don't like noodles.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops in Zesty Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Had to break the toothpicks in half and soak them in water so they wouldn't catch fire, but other than that, this dish is a winner.

Slow Cooker Osso Buco

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I made it without the Osso Buco cuts and it was good. I imagine with the right meat it would be awesome.

Slow Cooker Sausage 'n' Grits Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Tasty and easily prepared. I was afraid the grits would be, well, gritty, but they were nicely incorporated. I will definitely cook again. And the foil strips are ingenious and not to be skipped. They will definitely make your life easier.

I had frozen corn and frozen squash but followed the recipe with that in mind and this came out awesome. I will definitely enjoy doing this with fresh items.

Slow Cooker Lime Chicken with Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
If you want to use regular rice rather than instant, put the rice in for much longer, maybe even at the start.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This was great. I thickened the juice with a roux and used it on both the meat and mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. Will definitely do again.

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
Cook on low, not high. I followed the recipe to the letter other than the slow cooker temperature setting and it came out wonderfully. Four hours on low is plenty done. I used a roux to make a sauce out of the mixture

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I used the all in one pot method mentioned earlier (with an unplanned substitution of diced tomatoes for the stewed) and this was awesome. I'll be making this again for sure.

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
You have to use thick chops and good barbecue sauce. You season the meat and do that and you can't go wrong with this.
