Scarlett's Best Ever Sugar Cookies

These have a wonderful flavor and do melt in your mouth but they were oily and spread wayy out. Next time I will try as one reviewer did and lessen the oil and increase the sugar.. the consistency is too thin and oily. Will try again.

Key Lime Pie VII

This is a five star Key Lime Recipe. One VERY VERY CLOSE to this is Emeril Lagasse's recipe. The only difference is that it's topped with 1/2 c. sour cream mixed with 1/2 c. conf. sugar. It sounds weird but it's really good.. I've made it and received alot of good feedback. Homemade graham cracker crust is alot better than store bought!! an easy way to improve the pie from the start. be sure crust has cooled completely before pouring ingredients inside.

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

This was a big hit in my household. Husband and son both enjoyed this pie. I did make more filling since I was filling a 9" shell. I used 1 1/2 sticks butter 1 cup sugar, 3 eggs and 3 squares of unsweetened baking chocolate. This is absolutely to die for chocolate pie!

Antipasto Salad

Slow-Cooker Lasagne

I used half Italian sausage and half ground beef. chopped onion, green bell pepper and sliced mushrooms. Used dried parsley...and oregano. Made these changes from reading reviews. Noodles were not cooked previously and it came out very tasty. Will use again now that summer heat is coming.

Blueberry Streusel Muffins

I made these as written...was looking for a way to use up a container of fresh blueberries. They rose beautiful with full mushroom caps on top. The streusel was just right and very tasty. They cooked perfectly browned in 25 mn in my electric oven. Next time I will add a bit more sugar to the batter. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you for sharing

Plum Quick Bread

I had my fears about this recipe because in with all the plums was a good 1/2 c. of juice. But it turned out great! The topping really adds to it and gives it a sweet crunch. Very moist. I recommend removing from loaf pans while still warm ( after cooling for 15-20 mns) Will def. keep this recipe since we have a plum tree that explodes with fruit every season. I did bake 15 mns longer than is called for. Thanks for the great recipe!

Pumpkin Bread

I've made pumpkin bread from many different recipes over the years. This has awesome flavor. I baked two loaves today. Only change I made was to add 1 cup chopped pecans and 1 cup raisins, because we like ours that way. Only change I would make next time would be to add 1 tspn of salt. My loaves took 1 hr and 20 mins to bake but the center of each loaf fell. I suspect it was the leavening. Other than the fruit and nuts, I followed the recipe to a "T". I have wrapped one up well in plastic wrap and foil to freeze and will enjoy the 2nd loaf in future. This is a definete keeper.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

way too much baking powder for cut outs to hold their shape.. they rose and spread quite a bit and my cookie cutter designs were lost completely. I finished off the dough by rolling into balls and pressing slightly with the bottom of a glass dipped in fine sugar to bake. NOT the recipe I was looking for to make cut out Christmas cookies. I will keep looking.

Tiny Pecan Tarts

tart pastry takes a little time to form, but is soo worth it. These are absolutely delicious! I made one and a half times pastry and cut the filling in half and had approx 48 tarts. First time ever making these and was so happy with the results.

Rachel's Sugar Plum Spice Jam

absolutely delightful! This jam not only smells like Christmas but it tastes like it too. I did vary a bit by using what I had on hand. I used 2 c. canned crushed pineapple and it's juice the rest I followed as written. Absolutely wonderful!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from Heaven

I made these exactly as written. I was somewhat disappointed in them. The texture is extremley soft and almost cake like ( probably due to the cornstarch), after all flour + cornstarch = cake flour. The flavor also was a bit of a letdown, not as peanut buttery as I'd imagined. I may try them again with 1/4 c. of additional peanut butter. Also I think they need 2-3 mins more baking time; at least in my oven. I will continue looking for a good recipe for this type of cookie.

Corn Casserole III

I've made my version of this for years. I use 1 8 oz. pkg finely grated cheddar and 3 T. regular butter, 1 egg, 1 8 oz. sour cream, 1 can each of creamed and regular corn ( drain whole kernel corn) and 1 pkg Jiffy corn muffin mix. This is a favorite of my husband and expected every holiday as a side dish.

Easy Peach Cobbler II

I gave this 5 stars for ease in preparation, taste and appearance. I used two cans 29 oz. of sliced peaches drained. Used 1/2 c. BUTTER because I had no margarine on hand, 4 T self rising flour and 1 egg. Recommend you cut bread into strips or cubes for a nicer presentation. Oh, I also sprinkled my peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon. This is a keeper!!

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

I made this as written with only one exception. I used 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup packed brown sugar. My two loaves were done in 50 minutes. This is moist, delicious and holds up well to slicing after it has cooled. I will be making this again!

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

I made this as written with the exception of the tomatoes. I used a can of tomatoes with oregano, basil and garlic. This dish is very tasty and easy to make on the stove top. I will def. be making this again!

Lemon Raspberry Jumbo Muffins

I had raspberries that had become a little "soft" and didn't do well atop cereal which is why I bought them. I went looking for a recipe and found this one! I had everything on hand so I went for it! They turned out wonderful. Even hubby enjoyed the muffins. I cut the sugar down and used 1/4 c. and the rest, I used splenda. These were yummy!

Low-Fat Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins

I made these EXACTLY as written. I did not care for them. they were rubbery in texture, didn't rise much and I think they needed real lemon zest and less extract. I will search for another recipe for these muffins.
