Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
I enjoyed the flavor. My husband likes his steaks more crisp on the outside. I did sear them early on, but maybe would make sure to do more of that next time before adding the sauce.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
These were really good. I wanted shredded chicken, so I made up the sauce (I only used two boneless chicken breasts, but extra sauce) and put it with the chicken in a crock pot for four hours or so. Then I shredded with a fork. They were really juicy and flavorful.

Poached Tuna Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
I might have overcooked it, but we couldn't find anything good about this recipe. The fish had absolutely no flavor, despite following the recipe.

Quick Poached Salmon with Dill Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
The fish was good, but the dill was overpowering to me. I like dill, but I didn't like this sauce. Personal preference, I guess. I was OK with the recipe, but I don't think I'd make it again.

Cod with Italian Crumb Topping

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I thought this was easy and delicious. I work nights, so my dinners have to be made ahead and microwaved. Usually, this doesn't produce great results, but this fish was still really good. I think I added extra corn meal.

Sesame Peanut Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
I marked this one star, but mostly because of personal taste. I should note that I made it in advance and the reheated it. It came out curdled. The taste was weird to me, too. It was like peanut butter melted on hot noodles, which wasn't very appetizing. I guess some people like that, but it's not for me. I used regular peanut butter and omitted the sugar. I also used whole wheat spaghetti. Only downside was that I didn't have peanut oil or rice vinegar on hand and had to buy them just for this recipe, making it a bit expensive.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Really good. I am definitely done buying salad dressing. I agree with some other people that it was too vinegar-y (for my taste). I had cut it down to just 2 servings, so for my second batch I used equal parts olive oil and vinegar.

Beer Beef Stew II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
This was average, to me. It was good, though. One problem I always have with slow cooking is that there's not enough liquid. I added quite a bit extra, but still had little at the end. Also, I can't imagine 2 hours is enough to cook all those vegetables, so I did it about 4. Every other similar recipe had longer cook time.
