Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
I put this on Strawberry Cake I and it was great! I would not make any changes to this frosting. Very good, and very easy!

Strawberry Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Loved this! I would use more frozen strawberries, and I had to increase the baking time by about 10 minutes. I used a previous suggestion to put the whipped cream cream cheese frosting on top (on allrecipes.com) and then I topped it with quartered fresh strawberries. It was a hit!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
This is great! Even my picky kids ate it. I would add a bit more salt, and maybe even 1/4c Worcestershire sauce. A few dashes of hot pepper sauce would add good flavor without making it too hot. I'll make this again!

Peanut Butter Balls VII

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Too much honey! Also, very sticky and soft. Next time I will use 1/4 c or maximum of 1/2 c honey, maybe about 2 - 2/12 c milk powder, and possibly add some rolled oats until it has a good, stiff shape. I bet they would be great with melted chocolate chips drizzled over them! Unless you have many, many kids to feed, I would halve this recipe as well.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
These are great! I didn't have enough oats (and only the old fashioned kind), so I used only 2 cups of oats and it turned out well. I'll try 3 c next time (like the recipe calls for)! I did not refrigerate the dough for an hour, nor did I flatten them with a fork and it was just fine. I bet white chocolate chips would be perfect in this recipe!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
Loved this! If you like it spicy, I would use a LOT of cayenne pepper. Don't be afraid to use the entire juice of the lime. The salt cuts it. Thank you Bob Cody!

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
This is AWESOME! It takes longer than 35 minutes to make, though, because the yolk mixture needs to cool for 1 hour. I would recommend using about 3/4 c coffee and 6 T rum, or just until the ladyfingers are soaked. I also drizzled quite a bit of Kahlua over the ladyfingers because they seemed dry. This turned out GREAT! It needs to set in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours before serving, or the yolk/ mascarpone mixture will be a bit runny.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
This is a great recipe, as is! There is plenty of extra wine cream sauce in the pan after you pour it over the chicken. I put it in a gravy boat and let my guests pour more over their chicken as they desire. Don't over cook the chicken. 30 minutes of simmering is plenty!

Caesar Salad I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
My husband made this salad and it was the first time he "coddled" an egg! It was EXCELLENT! Even my sister-in-law who said she did not like anchovies loved this salad. It is almost exactly what you would get if you ordered a Caesar salad at a gourmet restaurant. Great salad!

Dump Cake IV

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
This is a great recipe! My mom used to make this for me when I was little (without the pineapple), and sometimes she would use blueberry pie filling instead of cherry filling. I don't recommend using a metal 9X13 pan if you plan to store the leftovers in the pan - the acids in the pineapple start to corrode the pan! Use a 9X13 glass baking dish instead. Great recipe!

Orange Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
This is a great salad, especially for kids - and very easy/ quick to make. The second time I made it I used a large can of mandarin oranges and a large can of pineapple. I also used about half of the Cool Whip and it was PERFECT! Thanks for the recipe!

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
These cookies are VERY easy to make, and require few ingredients - wonderful for busy moms like me! However, there really isn't much "substance" to these cookies. They are too sweet and not very chewy. Imagine eating peanut butter and sugar together - good for one small bite! :) Thanks, but I'm going to try a few others!
