This is GREAT! It's hard to know many stars to give the original recipe when I made it the first time based on reviewers' suggestions. I roasted a whole chicken in an oven bag for 2 hrs 20 min. I sauteed sliced mushrooms (16 oz) and garlic (an entire head) in butter, then added a few bags of chopped baby spinach and sauteed until it looked wilted. I put that mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish. I used the same frypan (deglazed with a splash of white wine) for the butter (1/4 c is WAY too much!), lemon juice, soup, Italian seasoning, half and half, and Parmesan cheese. At this point I might try adding sundried tomatoes next time! Follow the rest of the recipe as is, using real bacon (crumbled) - maybe more! I baked it at 350 as recommended by other reviewers. Next time I'll try serving over bowtie pasta. Another reviewer suggested Harvest Cheddar Biscuits wiith this - GREAT suggestion, and great biscuits!
