Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

"Hey, give this a taste." "Why did you make a whole pot of baby food?" "Yeah..." "Did you try adding the yogurt?" "Yup" "What about Sriracha sauce?" "...Now it tastes like baby food with Sriracha sauce." "Well then... know any hungry babies around here?" This recipe really needs something to give it some kick. Way too bland and boring. Points for being cheap and easy to make.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

My two problems when I made this were: 1. I didn't have nearly enough rice/onion/tomato filling for four halves of pepper. 2. It tastes like generic Italian. The feta and basil take over and it's just kind of boring. *The peppers for me came out a little brown looking from the roasting. Next time I make stuffed peppers I'm brushing the bottoms of the halves with olive oil.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

This is one of those recipes that you don't eat for the nutritious value, but I love it! It's like a little kid's gourmet mac & cheese. :)

Tzatziki Sauce I

Crispy Vegetable Pakoras

This is one of the easiest and best recipes I've ever made! I've cooked these pakoras for several guests now and they never last more than a few minutes. The only downside is that they don't store well. After a while they get soggy left out or in the fridge. :( But I'd still be interested in using this basic recipe to act as a good base for more involved ones.

Chicken Tikka Masala

For the time this took to make, it really didn't taste that amazing. Mine didn't taste too salty (actually, I added salt & pepper afterward), but it was to lemony/zesty. I think the lemon juice plus the tomato puree pushes it over the top. If I make this again, I'll halve or remove the lemon juice.

Stuffed Artichoke Hearts

I made these exactly as the recipe had them. They didn't taste bad, but they didn't taste good either. They taste exactly like artichoke hearts with sour cream, cream cheese and garlic salt. In other words, nothing blended together. So making these and eating them really isn't worth the high calories.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

My husband and I make this all the time and love it! The only change we made was to replace the parsley with cilantro. It gives it a much needed kick.
